Great infrastructure and facilities but somewhat crowded, though.
Placements: The highest package for 2024 was 88 Lacs per annum, the average package was 9.9 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies were Amazon, Microsoft, PayPal, and Cisco. 70-80% of students got internships in companies like Intel, Qualcomm, Nokia, Titan, and PayPal.
Infrastructure: All the necessary things are available in the hostel. The Wi-Fi works till 12:30 AM every day. Classrooms are also well-maintained, and the library contains so many books on every topic and genre. Labs are well-maintained too, with different software and applications, so you don't have to buy one. Food in the mess is quite decent with a lot of variety. Canteens are too good in taste, and you get every type of food. There are almost facilities for every sport, which are also well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are well-experienced and well-qualified. Some teachers are not up to the mark, but many others are. The curriculum is also good and is according to the changing technology, making students industry-ready. The semester exams, honestly, aren't that hard if you start studying at the proper time. The passing criteria are to get above 40 marks in the final assessment.
Other: Choosing mechanical in such a college is very much helpful as you get exposure to every tech and machinery in this Industry 4.0 to make you ready. There are majorly 2 fests every year, i.e., River and Gravitas (the tech fest). The place really feels somewhat crowded, though, but also helps in connectivity sometimes. The campus is so huge and filled with greenery all around. Also, there are so many other extracurricular activities happening every now and then.

Review of VIT Vellore campus life.
Placements: The placement drive has now started in CSE/IT branches. A lot of companies are visiting and the highest package is the 1CR offer from MOTORQ for 2 students; the lowest would be by TCS, which is 3.5 LPA . Few companies have visited and the top recruiter till now is Saipem. The career development cell is putting in all the efforts for the students to get placed.
Infrastructure: All the labs are updated and have lot of new machines, and softwares needed for research purpose is available. Quality of hostel is pretty neat various type of accommodation are available mess offers both North Indian and South Indian food. They have both AC/non-AC accommodations with 2, 3, 4, and 6 bed configurations.
Faculty: The curriculum is often updated based on industry requirements, like we have control system and microcontrollers as a compulsory elective, whereas juniors also have cloud computing as an elective, and we have AI as an elective. Teachers work on various projects; interested students can help and join them and learn. All B.TECH courses will have 2 CAT AND 1 FAT. CAT-Continuous Assessment Test: 50 marks FAT-Final Assessment Test: 100 marks

Great Academics but Horrible Campus life.
Placements: Approximately 55% of students secure placements at this institution, with the highest package being around 55 Lacs, while the average package is approximately 5 Lacs. Prominent recruiting companies include Renault Nissan Mitsubishi, Daimler, Ford, Cummins, and Engineers India Limited, among others. VIT mandates internships, and renowned companies such as John Deere, TVS, and Tata offer internships through the university's dedicated internship cell. The overall placement record at VIT is outstanding, and the university ensures abundant opportunities for its students.
Infrastructure: The academic facilities and infrastructure at VIT are top-notch, featuring cutting-edge research equipment, well-equipped labs, and a vast library. While the classrooms resemble typical school settings, I believe they could benefit from some improvements. The quality of hostels at VIT varies depending on the specific block you are assigned to. Some hostels offer clean and comfortable apartment-style rooms, while others provide subpar non-AC accommodations. Hostel assignments are based on CGPA, and students have the option to pay extra for better accommodations. However, even in the more desirable hostels, basic amenities such as showers, 24/7 shops, and quality food are lacking.
Faculty: The teachers at this institution are generally friendly, knowledgeable, and qualified, with a few exceptions. Although the teaching quality may not be exceptional, it is still manageable. The course curriculum, despite being demanding, is relevant and effectively prepares students for the industry. VIT conducts three tests per semester, which can be quite overwhelming for students. The difficulty level of these exams can vary greatly, ranging from easily achieving above 90% to barely passing.
Other: VIT could become an exceptional institution if it offered a more vibrant college experience. Unfortunately, the limited free time available after attending classes leaves students with little to do. While there are numerous clubs and chapters that cater to various interests, it is crucial to exercise caution when selecting one, as certain clubs may possess a toxic culture.

Good College and Best Teaching
Placements: VIT is well Known for the best education so, I joined here. The percentage of placement are offered is 92% of students are placed in top companies in our course . Highest package offered is 15 lakhs per annum and lowest Package offered is 4 to 7 lakhs per annum. Top recruiting companies are ITC, Mahindra, TATA and top other companies hire us. The Internship is provided to all students.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure is best in VIT. The department is large and Wifi facilities are provided to all classes and In campus. The labs are well equipped with all the materials and computers with latest version technology. I am a day scholar so I don't know about the hostel facilities.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful for us. They are qualified with higher degree which has more value and they have well knowledge in all concepts and teaching. The course is relevant to mechanical and they give hands on experience and make ready for Industry. The semester exams are hard to pass. Passing percentage is 68%.

VIT Vellore college review .
Placements: The placement for my course is above average. Most of the students who sit for placement get placed. The average package is around 6 lacs for mechanical. Automobile companies like Hero and Tata come for recruitment. For internships, companies do come but most of the students get them off campus only .
Infrastructure: The facilities are good at the college. The infrastructure for the academic buildings is very good. The machines in the lab are also very good and new. The hostels have a different story. If you have good money and are comfortable paying around 2 lacs only for hostels and mess annually, then the hostels are very good. But if you go for cheaper hostels, then there are some hostels that are very poorly maintained. The option for AC and non-AC is also there.
Faculty: The facilities are good only at the college. But there are some faculty members who fail students for no reason. It is advised not to fight with the faculty members, as they are known to fail students after that, especially the South Indian faculty members. The curriculum is very relevant and updated. It makes us industry-ready, as the machines available in the labs are top-notch. The exams are not that difficult to pass. If you study for 2-3 days properly, you can pass even the final exams very comfortably.
