BTech Entrance Exams

Almost every Indian state holds its own entrance exam for BTech admissions to autonomous colleges. Below are some of the state-level BTech Entrance Exams in India, as well as application and exam dates. Each of the state-based entrance tests is tailored to the admission requirements of the state in question. The states themselves administer the entrance tests.

  • JEE Main is a national entrance examination for BTech admissions to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. It is administered by the National Testing Agency. Paper 1 (BE/BTech) and Paper 2 (BArch/BPlan) are the two papers in JEE Main.
  • JEE Advanced is a national level entrance examination for IIT BTech admissions. To take JEE Advanced, students must first pass JEE Main.
  • VITEEE - One of the most popular private institute entrance exams, VITEEE admits students to Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and its multiple campuses' BTech programmes.
  • MHT CET - Students can apply for BTech admissions to Maharashtra's BTech institutes through the MHT CET.
  • TS EAMCET - Students get admitted to Telangana state institutes based on their scores in the TS EAMCET.

BTech without JEE

JEE Entrance Exams, particularly JEE Advanced, are regarded as one of India's most difficult exams. This is why some students struggle to gain admission to IITs and NITs.
Students looking for an alternative to JEE Advanced or Mains, or a way to get into BTech without taking JEE, have a number of possibilities to apply and appear for entrance tests held by schools such as BITS, VIT Vellore, and others. Other state-level or college-specific admission tests will be used to admit students to BTech programmes.
There are colleges that accept direct admission; students can learn more about these colleges by conducting research. Without JEE Advanced, students will be unable to apply to IITs and NITs.
