Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has announced the Assam HSLC routine 2025. As the SEBA HS routine 2025 is out, we have updated the same on this page. As per the announced SEBA HSLC exam dates, the board will conduct the Assam Board 10th exam from February 15 to March 3, 2025. In 2024, the Assam HSLC exams were held between February 16 and March 4, 2024.

The duration of each SEBA 10th exam is 3 hours (180 minutes) and the students need to secure minimum 33 percent marks in the exam. The overall difficulty level of the Assam Class 10 Exams is Easy to Moderate. Questions are asked from the entire Assam HSLC syllabus 2024-25. If you pay attention to covering the entire syllabus, your chances to secure high marks in the exam will increase. Students are also advised to practice the Assam HSLC model paper and previous years model paper.

SEBA stands for Board of Secondary Education, Assam which is a state education board and is held responsible for ensuring the Madhyamik education the state. SEBA used to condcut the board exams and declare result for the same. However, from the year 2025 onward, SEBA is expected to be merged with AHSEC. Assam government has proposed to merge the Class 10 and 12 state board exams to make one single entity for secondary education in the state. As of 2024, SEBA conducts the Class 10 board exams, while the Class 12 exams are looked after by the AHSEC. 

The Assam HSLC (High School Leaving Certificate) exam is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) for students completing their 10th grade. It serves as a qualifying exam for higher secondary education. The exam assesses students’ knowledge in subjects like Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English, and elective languages. Passing the HSLC is a prerequisite for pursuing higher education in different streams.

The Assam HSLC exam is conducted in a written format, typically comprising objective and subjective questions. Marks in Assam HSLC exams are typically distributed based on the nature of the subject. For most theory-based subjects, 100 marks are allotted per subject. However, subjects like Science and IT have a theory-practical split, where the theory portion carries 70 marks, and practicals account for 30 marks. Students need to score a minimum of 30% in each subject to pass the examination, including passing in both theory and practicals separately where applicable.

To obtain a desired marks in SEBA 10th board exam, the students focus on preparing well for the exam. To prepare for the Assam HSLC exam, students should follow the prescribed syllabus, which includes textbooks recommended by SEBA.
