Assam HSLC Exam Pattern 2025: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) prescribes the SEBA HSLC Exam Pattern 2025 for the students who are preparing for the next Assam Board HSLC exam. The board releases the Assam HSLC exam pattern 2024-25 in the form of a model paper. Earlier, the board has released the Assam HSLC model paper 2024-25 for major subjects on its website at www.sebaonline.org. Last year, the board made some major changes in the Assam HSLC exam pattern 2025. An OMR sheet will be used for answering objective-type questions (50% of total marks) carrying 1 mark each in case of core subjects, i.e., English (C1), General Mathematics (C2), General Science (C3) and Social Science (C4). Hence, all the students will be provided an OMR sheet to answer 50% of the total questions during the exam. On the other hand, a separate answer copy containing 16 pages will also be provided as before to answer subjective type questions.
The SEBA 10th exam pattern 2025 mentions the marking scheme, duration, and the types of important questions asked in the exam. Students are advised to go through the SEBA HSLC exam pattern thoroughly to plan their preparations and ace the exams. The students must note that the SEBA HSLC exam will be held at school level as there will be no board exams from 2025 onward.
It is to be mentioned here that the Class 10 students from the state are generally required to appear for six subjects.
Each student will have to appear for both - theoretical as well as practical exams. The duration of each exam is 3 hours (180 minutes) and the total marks for all the Assam HSLC exams together are 600. In SEBA HSLC exams, 30% of questions are easy and 50% are average whereas only 20% of tough questions are asked.

HSLC Exams 2025 Assam are conducted in offline mode (pen & paper). Candidates write the answers on answer sheet provided by the examiner. Objective type questions are answered in OMR sheet while the non-objectyve type questions are answer on descreptive normal answer sheet. Students need to score a minimum of 30% in each subject to pass the examination, including passing in both theory and practicals separately where applicable.

The duration of each SEBA 10th exam is 3 hours (180 minutes) and the students need to secure minimum 33 percent marks in the exam. The overall difficulty level of the Assam Class 10 Exams is Easy to Moderate. Questions are asked from the entire Assam HSLC syllabus 2024-25. If you pay attention to covering the entire syllabus, your chances to secure high marks in the exam will increase. Students are also advised to practice the Assam HSLC model paper and previous years model paper.
