The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has withheld the results of 129 students who appeared for the 2024 board exams. Here's a breakdown of the reasons:
• Cheating: 31 students were identified as having engaged in cheating activities during the exams, leading to the withholding of their results.
• Lack of Eligibility: The examination applications of 96 students were cancelled due to ineligibility issues. This could be due to not meeting the minimum attendance requirements or other enrolment criteria.
• Investigation Category: Two students' results are being withheld pending further investigation.
The CGBSE will likely conduct a thorough investigation into the cheating cases and the reasons behind the ineligibility of the other students.
- The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has declared the toppers for the Class 10th exams 2024. Simran Shabba has emerged at the top position, scoring an impressive 597 marks out of a maximum 600, translating to a phenomenal 99.50% marks! Following closely behind are Honisha (593 marks, 98.83%) and Shreyansh Kumar Yadav (590 marks, 98.33%) who secured the second and third positions respectively.
- The Higher Secondary Examination witnessed an even higher pass rate of 80.74%. Once again, girls secured a higher pass rate (83.72%) compared to boys (76.91%).
- Registration:Â A total of 345,686 students registered for the exams, with a near even split between boys (158,354) and girls (187,332).
• Overall Appearance: Out of the registered students, 340,220 (98.4%) appeared for the exams.
• Pass Rate: The overall pass rate for the exams is 75.61%. However, girls outshone boys with a significantly higher pass rate of 79.35% compared to boys' 71.12%.
• Performance Breakdown:
— First Division: 117,519 students (boys: 43,940, girls: 73,579)
— Second Division: 123,386 students (boys: 56,346, girls: 67,040)
— Third Division: 16,165 students (boys: 9,719, girls: 6,446)
• Supplementary Exams: A total of 19,012 students (8,722 boys and 10,290 girls) will be appearing for supplementary exams.
• Failed Students: 63,910 students (35,930 boys and 27,980 girls) did not pass the exams. - A total of 342,511 students appeared for the 10th class exams
- The state government will hold a ceremony to honor the top scorers of both classes.
