If a student is unable to clear the exams, they are given another chance to pass the examination. They can appear in the supplementarfy exam conducted by the Haryana Board.

• Students can apply for the compartment or supplementary exam from the official website of the Haryana Board
• While preparing for the compartment examination, students must go through the HBSE 12th syllabus
• The compartment exams will tentatively be held in the first week of July 2025 and the results for the same shall be announced in July 2025.
• To ace the preparation and score well in the HBSE 12th exams, students should practice from the previous year's HBSE 12th question papers

In 2023-24, the board started the HBSE 12th 2024 rechecking, revaluation process on May 1, 2024. The last date to apply was May 20, 2024. Fee for Re-Evaluation is Rs. 1000/- per answer-book/subject. BPL Card holder, fee for Re-Evaluation is Rs. 800/- per answer-book/subject for which a copy of BPL Card is mandatory to be attached along with the online application. Only one form is to be applied by the candidate for one or more than one subject. Fee deposited is non-refundable. After the Re-Evaluation of Answer books, if there is an increase of 15% marks or more in any subject, Rs. 600/- will be refunded out of  Rs. 1000/- and 480/-  out of Rs.800/- in concerned Bank Account.

Class 12 is considered the most important examination which sets the further career path in a student’s life. This exam is an actual decider of one’s career. Students are advised to thoroughly check the courses after 12th, and choose a course per their interest. There are several options for science stream students such as Engineering, Medical, Architecture, etc. After passing out from the commerce stream, BCom and BCA are some of the regular degree courses where students can apply. Similarly, Bachelors in Arts, BBA, etc, are the courses where students can take admission after the 12th. There are several professional as well as vocational courses available after the 12th.

• An overall pass percentage of 85.31% was registered for HBSE Class 12 Result 2024.
• The pass percentage of boys was 88.14 percent and the pass percentage of girls was 82.52 percent.
• Mahendragarh was the top-performing district of Class 12, Nuh emerged as the worst-performing district
• Last year, a total of 16593 candidates had appeared in the Senior Secondary Open School (Fresh) examination, out of which 5946 candidates passed. 
• The result of Senior Secondary Open School (Fresh) was 35.83 percent and the result of (Re-Appear) was 48.71 percent.
• In 2023-24 the private candidates' pass percentage was 65.32%.
• The pass percentage of students from rural areas was 86.17% and from urban areas was 83.53%. 

• Government schools pass percentage - 83.35%

  Private schools pass percentage - 88.12%

• Boys pass percentage: 82.52%

  Girls pass percentage: 88.14%

• Atotal of 213504 candidates had appeared in the Senior Secondary (Educational) regular examination, out of which 182136 passed and 6169 candidates failed. 
• The overall pass percentage of regular candidates was 85.31%.  Swayampathi was 65.32 percent. The result of open school fresh category was 35.83 percent and that of re-appear was 48.71 percent
