MP Board 10th Exam Pattern 2025: Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) revised the MPBSE 10th exam pattern 2025. As per the changes introduced in the MP Board class 10 exam pattern, the number of short answer type questions (2 marks) has been increased while the number of long answer questions (4 marks) has decreased. The board prescribes the final MP Board 10th exam pattern 2025 through the MPBSE 10th exam model question paper. Students preparing for the MP Board 10th examinations must go through the MPBSE 10th exam pattern 2025 for a better understanding of the questions that are generally asked in the MP Board 10th examinations. Moreover, with the help of MPBSE Class 10 Exam Pattern 2025, the students can also understand the total number of questions asked, the marks required to pass the exam and more.

In 2023, objective, subjective, and analytical questions were introduced as part of the question paper. While the MPBSE 10th theoretical exams will be 3 hours, the duration of the practicals is only 2 hours. For subjects without practicals, the minimum passing mark is 33, while for subjects with practicals, the minimum passing marks differ with each subject. Madhya Pradesh Board releases the exam MP Board 10th pattern online on its official website. The students must note that the board releases the MPBSE 10th exam pattern in the form of model paper. Through the model paper, the students can have an idea about the class 10 MP Board exam pattern 2025. As soon as the board releases it, students can check the same at mpbse.nic.in. Q:   Has the exam pattern changed for MP Board Class 10th board exams 2025?

A:

No, the MP Board exam pattern 2025 has not been changed. However, the MPBSE 10th exam pattern was changed in 2023. Last year, the board also decided to go with the reduced syllabus. For 2025 exam, the board has not released the updated syllabus yet. Further, at least 30% of MCQs will be there in every exam apart from keeping the length of answers short. Students are suggested to keep visiting this page for the latest update on the same. In case any change is made in the exam pattern, we will update the same here.

Madhya Pradesh board conducts the MPBSE class 10 exams in offline mode. The subjects that are tested in the MPBSE 10th exam are First Language (Special), Second Language (General), and Third Language (General). MP Board 10th Marking Scheme: Key Highlights

  • For high school and intermediate exams with non-practical subjects: The question paper will be 80 marks for theory and 20 marks will be for practicals/project work.

  • In MP Board Class 12, for practical subjects, the question paper for theory will be of 70 marks, and 30 marks will be allotted for practicals.

  • 40% questions in both Classes 10 and 12 theory exams will be objective in nature. While the rest 40% will be subjective and 20 per cent of questions will be analytical in nature.

  • No change is there in the Old Business, NSQF, and D.El.Ed subjects

Q:   What is the marking scheme of the MP Board 10th exam?

A:

The board releases the MP Board class 10 sample paper for the students on its website. Sample papers released by the board also include the marking scheme of the exam. The total marks of each subject is 100. The subjects which have practical tests are marked as 80 for theory and 20 for practical. Both multiple-choice and subjective-type questions are asked in the exam.

Usually, each MCQ is of one mark. On the other hand, the marking scheme for subjective-type questions may vary from section to section. Students need to secure at least 33% marks in each subject to clear the exam.

Q:   What is the minimum aggregate marks should I obtain to pass the MPBSE 10th exam?

A:

MPBSE class 10 exams are held for a total of five subjects. Each paper of the class 10 exam consists of a total of 100 marks. For subjects without practicals, the minimum mark required to pass the exam is 33, while for subjects with practicals, the minimum passing marks differ from subject to subject. Theory exams for the subjects with practical are held for 80 marks while the practical exams are held for a total of 20 marks.  The students must note that the marks secured in MPBSE 10th practical exams will also be calculated while preparing for the final MP Board class 10 result.

Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education will soon come up with the MPBSE class 10 exam pattern 2023-24. However, the chances of any major changes in the MP Board exam pattern are very low as the board usually does not make changes in the exam pattern every year. On this page, we have provided last year’s exam pattern. As per last year’s exam pattern, each paper of the MPBSE 10th exams will be held for a total of 100 marks. The theory paper exam will be held for 80 marks while 20 marks will be distributed for practical. In the class 10 exams, objective-type, short-answer-type, and long-answer-type questions are asked.

Q:   What is the duration of the MPBSE 10th exam?

A:

MP Board prescribes the total duration of MP Board class 10 board exams through both exam pattern and time table. Usually, the MPBSE class 10 exam pattern is released before the class 10 time table. For a detailed exam pattern, the students are suggested to check the MPBSE class 10 sample paper released by the board. As per last year’s exam pattern, the total duration of each theoretical paper is three hours. On the other hand, the total duration of MP Board class 10 practical exams is two hours.

The students need to complete the exam within the stipulated time. No extra time will be given to complete the exam.
