NTSE Syllabus 2024: Students must note that the NTSE Stage 1 will include the questions from the complete syllabus of their education board. Now that the pandemic is over, all boards have decided to go back and cover the entire syllabus for every subject. The stage 1 exam of NTSE will be conducted on November 2 and 3, 2024 tentatively.
The syllabus of the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2024 is broadly based on topics covered in Classes 9th and 10th. There are objective-type questions for both papers i.e. Mental Ability Test and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) on relevant topics.
The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is based on questions from Social science, Science, and Mathematics subjects.
The MAT paper will be based on questions for verbal and non-verbal abilities such as reasoning and critical thinking. Also, the topics include analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figure, etc.
NTSE question paper of Stages 1 & 2 is based on the CBSE Class 9th and 10th Syllabus. The topics to be covered for different subjects have been provided below.

Students must note that the NTSE Syllabus 2024 is not restricted to the topics mentioned above. In order to score well, students must be well-versed with all the topics and concepts that are included in the NCERT books (of the respective subjects) of Classes 9 and 10.
For better practice, students must solve, practice and analyze as many NTSE question papers as possible. They make one familiar with the NTSE exam pattern, marking scheme, exam duration and more. It is suggested that students must try and complete the sample papers or previous years' question papers within the stipulated time.
