RRB Group D Muzaffarpur Results

RRB Group D Muzaffarpur results will be announced soon. RRB takes the Group D exam at the national level to recruit for various posts such as Track Maintainer, Helper/Assistant, and others in various departments. RRB has conducted the exam for recruitment on behalf of RRC (Railway Recruitment Cell). The RRB Muzaffarpur exam was carried out between August 17 to October 11, 2022.  

The candidates who will qualify for the RRB Muzaffarpur exam move forward for the PET (Physical Efficiency Test). The PET will tentatively be held in the month of January 2023. After the PET the candidates will be called for the document verification process. The document verification for the RRB Muzaffarpur Group D exam will be done in the month of February 2023.

Q:   What is RRB Group D normalisation?

A:
RRBs follow percentile-based normalisation in the RRB Group D exam. The percentile score of each candidate is converted into normalised marks by inserting the raw marks into the base shift. The calculation of base shift is done by using the standard mathematical formula of interpolation. The percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored equal to or below (same or lower raw scores) that particular percentile in that examination.

Q:   Is the RRB Group D result announced based on the normalised marks?

A:

Yes, RRB Group D result is declared after the marks of the candidates are normalised using the equi-percentile method. The percentile score of each candidate is converted by RRBs into normalised marks by interpolation of the raw marks into the base shift. The calculation of base shift is done using the standard mathematical formula of interpolation. The purpose of interpolation of the raw marks into the base shift is done to decide the minimum qualifying marks as well as give weightage in marks to CCAA candidates.

Candidates are called for document verification as per their merit. Post document verification, candidates are called for medical.
