RRB NTPC 2020 exam for the first stage has begun for approximately 1.25 crore candidates. The exam is being conducted putting in place all the safety precautions due to COVID-19 pandemic. All the candidates were sanitised before they were allowed to enter the exam hall. The security guards at the exam centre ensured that all the candidates wore mask. Candidates had to submit self-declaration to the exam officials regarding their health status. The temperature of candidates were checked at the entry gate. Those showing the above the normal temperature were not allowed to enter the exam centre. Such candidates can reschedule their exam to a different date.

The exam is conducted across various cities spread throughout the country in multiple shifts. The first phase of RRB NTPC exam will conclude on January 13. The exam for the second phase will begin after the completion of the first stage. RRB NTPC exam dates for the second phase will be announced soon. Approximately, 23 lakh candidates are appearing in the first phase of RRB NTPC exam. The first stage CBT will continue till the end of March 2021. RRB NTPC 2020 Exam Analysis by Students

According to the students, the overall paper of RRB NTPC was moderate. The General Awareness section was easy to moderate. Mathematics section was easy to moderate. General Intelligence and Reasoning section was easy to moderate. Shiksha visited one of the RRB NTPC 2020 exam centres in Guwahati and Kolkata to gather the feedback of candidates regarding the overall and section-wise difficulty levels of the exam. Check below what candidates have to say regarding the difficulty level.

Rupesh Das, who appeared for the exam from Guwahati, "The paper was easy and simple. General Awareness questions were basic and covered all the latest topics. Mathematics questions were asked from age, train, compound interest, etc."

Sailan Sarma, "The paper was easy in terms of difficulty level. The Mathematics part was easy while General Awareness was a bit tough. Proper safety precautions were taken due to COVID-19 pandemic."

Paul said, "The paper was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. In General Awareness, there were not many questions from Physics and Chemistry. Maximum questions were asked from Current Affairs. Mathematics was easy in terms of difficulty level. Questions were asked from Age, Partnership, Trigonometry, etc. In Reasoning, questions were asked from Alphanumeric Series, Seating Arrangement, Puzzles, etc."

Rajat said, "Mathematics were moderate in terms of difficulty level. I found the Reasoning section to be the easiest one. The General Awareness section was moderate."

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern 2020

RRB NTPC exam pattern is such that the first stage CBT comprises questions from General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The exam is held for 90 minutes. The test paper comprised of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions. The section-wise distribution of questions is given below.
