IIT JAM Application Form 2025: Registration Modification (Closed), Fees & Documents Required

IIT Delhi, the examination conducting body for JAM 2025 exam has announced the examination schedule for the academic session 2025-2026. The JAM 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on February 2, 2025 at various exam centres across the nation. Candidates can refer to the IIT JAM 2025 dates mentioned in the section below:

IIT JAM 2025 Application Form Start Date

The exam authority had already released the IIT JAM 2025 examination dates and all the important dates for the JAM 2025 admissions process, like JAM 2025 application form start date, the start date, the last day to fill out the application form, the admit card release date, and other events. Candidates could fill out the JAM application form 2025 by visiting the official website from which was started from September 3, 2024 onwards. The first step was doing the registration sign-up, which would create an account for the candidate on the JOAPS portal. The other steps in the JAM registration form 2025 can be done later.

IIT JAM 2025 Application Form Last Date

JAM application form 2025 was remain open for a month, and IIT JAM 2025 aspiring candidates were able to fill out the JAM registration form by October 18, 2024 upto 11:50 PM through Credit/Debit Card/NetBanking/UP. The JAM application process was completely online, right from doing the registration for the JAM registration account to paying the IIT JAM 2025 registration fees. The last date to change the Examination Cities /Test Papers /Category /Gender was November 30, 2024.

IIT JAM 2025 Registration Fee Last Date

IIT JAM 2025 aspirants, while filling out the application form, can only pay the JAM registration fees online. The last date for filling out the IIT JAM 2025 registration fee was October 11, 2025 upto 11:50 PM. 

IIT JAM 2025 Application Correction Window

Candidates will also get the opportunity to edit the IIT JAM 2025 application form against the incorrect details they provided earlier. The IIT JAM 2025 application correction window is expected to open in the third week of October 2024 tentatively.

Aspirants can go through the steps they need to follow in order to successfully fill and submit the JAM application form as mentioned below:

Step 1: Register at JOAPS

First, candidates have to register themselves at the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) by filling and submitting details such as name, email address, mobile number, and password. Once candidates registered for the exam successfully, they were sent an email and SMS containing their enrollment ID. Candidates need to save the enrollment ID and thereafter proceed towards filling JAM 2025 application form.

Step 2: Fill Details in IIT JAM Application Form

Candidates needed to log in to their accounts using their respective enrollment IDs and passwords. Thereafter, candidates had to start filling the information in their IIT JAM 2025 application form. Details that candidates have to fill in the application form are:

• Exam details: Here, candidates have to select one or two test papers for which they want to write the exam. However, in the case of two papers, candidates have to ensure that both exams are conducted in different sessions.

• Exam centre details: Here, candidates need to select cities where they want to take the test. They can select a maximum of three cities.

• Personal details: This section requires candidates to mention their name, date of birth, gender, category, parents’ names, etc.

• Correspondence address: Here, candidates have to mention the address where they would like to receive any future communication. The address needs to be mentioned with the pin code.

• Educational details: Here, candidates has to mention their educational qualification details such as the name of the qualifying degree, year of passing, college/ university name, marks obtained, etc.

• Photograph: Candidates had to upload (in JPEG format) their passport-size coloured photograph with a white/ very light colour background. The file size was to be between 5 KB and 200 KB. Selfie or informal photographs with sunglasses, hats or caps were not be accepted.

• Signature: Candidates have to upload the digital image of their signature made on A4 white paper in a rectangular box with a black or dark blue ink pen. The file size should be between 5 KB and 100 KB.

Once all details are filled in, candidates can submit the form and proceed to the next step of the application process.

After the form is submitted, a new window would open that would display the name and enrollment ID of the candidate. The window will also display the amount to be paid by the candidate as the application fee. After checking these details, candidates need to click on the 'Proceed to Payment' button.

Candidates can pay IIT JAM 2025 application fee in online mode through internet banking/ debit card/ credit card.

• Personal information (name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parent's name, parent's mobile number, etc.)
• Address for communication (including PIN code)

Note: The name of the candidate in the JAM application form must be the same as mentioned in their qualifying degree certificate. IIT JAM scorecard 2025 will be issued as per the name entered in the application form. Prefix/ titles such as Mr/ Shri/ Dr/ Mrs/ Smt, etc. should not be used before the name in the IIT JAM application form 2025.

Only those candidates who have submitted the application form and paid the requisite application fee will be eligible to make the changes in the application form. 

If candidates made any mistake in IIT JAM 2025 registration forms, they can correct it in the correction window. Here we have provided steps to correct the application form:

• Click on JOAPS portal or application form correction link.

• Then click on the login button & enter user id and password.

•  After login you can change specific details in IIT JAM 2025 Application form.

•  Save the changes and take the printout of the form for future uses.

After logging into the JOAPS portal, candidates will be able to see whether their IIT JAM 2025 application form has been scrutinized by the exam authorities and accepted by them or not. Below is the screenshot of how the candidate's account interface will be visible. 

If candidates are satisfied with their JAM 2025 application form, then they do not need to take any action. If they have committed or filled out the application form with incorrect details, then they can edit the application form by clicking on the options mentioned on their account.

After submitting JAM 2025 application forms, they will be scrutinised by exam officials to ensure that all the data entered by an aspirant in the application form (details, documents, photograph, and signature) is accurate. If any discrepancy is found in the information provided then such candidates will be intimated to make the necessary corrections in their application form as per the deadline. IIT Delhi, the examination conducting body is expected to provide an application correction window wherein candidates will have to make the required changes or upload documents and photographs or signatures. 

The IIT JAM 2025 modification window allows candidates to make changes to their personal information, educational qualification details, exam center preferences, and other relevant particulars. The aim is to ensure that all applications are accurate and complete before the final processing stage.

IIT JAM 2025 Form Correction: Details can be corrected

• Choice of exam centers and exam cities

• GCP (for changing Gender or Category or PwD status in the application)
• Change other details: Name, DoB, Parent/Guardian Name, College Name, Year of Passing, Communication Address.

IIT JAM 2025 Form Correction: Details can't be corrected

• Application number

• Status of application (submitted, incomplete, pending, etc.)

The candidates must note that the choice modification is free of cost and they do not need to pay any fee for it, but the change of in some other details would cost students a fee as mentioned below:

Candidates had to follow the steps given below to make the changes or corrections in the IIT JAM 2025 application form:

• Login by entering the credentials of email ID/Enrolment ID and Password

• Enter the Arithmetic Expression and Click on Submit

• Check the application form and decide the fields to be edited

• Click on the field and edit the changes

• Click on Save after verifying the details

• Make the final submission

Candidates will receive a confirmation email and SMS from the exam authorities. Candidates must note that the application fee will also be impacted in case there is a change in category. In that case, they will have to pay the additional fee to make their application valid.

How to fill IIT JAM 2025 Admission Form?

Once IIT JAM 2025 result is declared, candidates need to fill and submit an admission form. It is necessary to fill the IIT JAM 2025 admission form to take part in the counselling process. Candidates can fill and submit the application form for the IIT JAM admission process as under:

1. Visit the official website of IIT JAM.
2. On the homepage of JOAPS, candidates need to enter their IIT JAM 2025 enrollment ID, password, and captcha code to log in.
3. After this, candidates need to fill in their details, including, choice of courses and colleges in order of preference in the "Application form for Admission" available on the dashboard.
4. Upload all the required documents or undertaking if some documents are not available.
5. Next, pay the application fee for IIT JAM 2023 admission form, i.e. INR 600 using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking options.
6. Once, all information has been filled in correctly, candidates can submit the form in online mode only. 

This is a common application form for all participating IITs and candidates need not send any hard copy of the IIT JAM admission form to the respective institutes. 

Documents to be uploaded for IIT JAM Admission Form

Candidates need to upload the scanned files of the following documents on the JOAPS portal when filling the application form. 

• Class 10 and 12 certificates and mark sheets
• Qualifying degree mark sheets for all semesters
• Nationality certificates - Date of Birth certificate or Voter ID or First page of Passport or School Transfer Certificate or Aadhaar Card as issued
• Category certificates - respective certificates as issued for OBC-NCL/ EWS/ SC/ ST category
• PWD certificate for Persons with Disability
