IIT JAM 2024 Result (Released): Download Result, Scorecard and cut off details here

IIT JAM scores will be used for admission to over 2000 seats for postgraduate programmes such as MSc and MA at IISc and various NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET, DIAT through Centralized Counselling for MSc / MSc (Tech.) Admission (CCMN). There are no additional written tests or interviews for admission to candidates qualifying JAM and satisfying the eligibility and special
eligibility requirements through CCMN. 
In addition, JAM 2025 scores will be used for admission to the four Integrated Ph D Programmes and two MSc Programmes at Indian Institute of Science (IISc). JAM 2025 scores are likely to be used by various other institutes such as Jawaharlal Nehru
Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISER Bhopal), Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune (IISER Pune), and Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE). Unlike every year, where the exam results along with the JAM 2024 results also release the IIT JAM 2024 cutoff, this year JAM 2024 cut off is yet to be released. It is anticipated that the exam authority will soon release the IIT JAM 2024 cutoff within one or days.

The authorities will be preparing the JAM cut off 2024 after checking various factors related to the entrance examination. IIT JAM 2024 cutoff will vary according to the subject and category that the candidate belongs to. Later, the authorities will also release the IIT JAM admission cutoff.

IIT JAM 2024 Results released on March 20, 2024. As per the official dates, IIT JAM 2024 results were supposed to be released on March 22, 2024. However, the results were released two days before this time.

Candidates could check their results and download IIT JAM 2024 scorecards by logging in using their enrolment ID or email ID along with the password on the official website. The results will be released in the form of scorecards. Along with the results, IIT madras, the examination conducting authority will also release thye category wise qualifying marks in each scorecard of the candidate.

IIT JAM 2025 Scorecard is basically a rankcard which consist of the number of marks which the aspirant has achieved in the IIT JAM 2025 examination. The Score Card will contain separate scores for Section A, B and C. The University will draw the merit list based on the total score achieved by the candidates.

The IIT JAM 2025 Scorecard will be valid for admission to the academic year 2025-26 only. Scores and candidate data would be shared with the University where he/she has applied. Evaluation of MCQ, MSQ and NA of all the Test Papers will be carried out using final answer keys and the raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for computation of the result of IIT JAM 2025. 

IIT Madras, the examination conducting body for the IIT JAM 2024 examiantion for the academic year 2024-2025 will be conducting the examintion on February 11, 2024. The JAM 2024 examination will be conducted for 7 subjects across the nation.

According to the examintion conducting authority, IIT JAM 2024 results will be declared on March 22, 2023. The results will be declared in the online mode, in the form of scorecards. Test takers need to visit the official website of IIT JAM 2024 for downloading the results. The link for the same will be provided soon, when the results will be out.

The IIT JAM 2024 scorecard consists of the following information:

Candidates must preserve the scorecard till the end of the medical admission process.

Candidates must first determine whether they have qualified for the exam by comparing their earned score to the qualifying or cutoff marks once the IIT JAM result has been announced. If they do, they will need to get ready for the IIT JAM counselling procedure, which is the following step.

They must have the relevant paperwork on hand, including the printout of the IIT JAM scorecard, for this. For each Test Paper, an All India Merit list will be prepared based on AIR. The number of candidates included in the All India Merit List will depend on the total number of seats available in each category (GEN/ OBC-NCL/ EWS/ SC/ ST/ PwD) in a given subject. These candidates  (henceforth called Qualified Candidates) are eligible to apply for admission to any of the
corresponding academic programmes. The JAM 2024 Scorecard indicating the AIR and the mark obtained by the candidate will be available for download from the JAM 2024 website from April 02, 2024 to July 31, 2024 for qualified candidates.

The IIT JAM scorecard is a inidividual specific document that contains data on candidates' achieved scores, Category cut offs, and rankings. The list of test takers, along with their scores and rankings, can be found in the merit list, which is a common document. Both documents were created by IIT Madras, the organisation in charge of holding the exam. No one else has access to the IIT JAM scorecard, which is only given to candidates who can download it by checking in with their registration credentials. On the other side, the IIT JAM merit list is made public and contains the candidates' All India Rank lists and scores.

IIT JAM  2024 Counselling process is expected to start from second week of April, 2024. Candidates will be able to fill the admission forms through online mode. Students who will qualify the exam can submit their admission forms with payment of admission application fee. The counselling process will be held in various rounds according to seats availability in each round. On the basis of candidate’s rank, the admission will be offered to the students. Students must bring their complete documents as informed by the authority for the document verification process.

An Applicant was considered for admission only to the programme choices filled in the Admission Form. There were four rounds of admission, in the normal case. If seats remain vacant, additional rounds may be conducted. Applicants receiving an offer in any of the rounds are required to login at the official website within the stipulated time and choose one of the three options viz.  (a) Accept and Freeze (b) Accept with Upgrade (c) Reject and Quit. 

No, the examination conducting authority of IIT JAM 2024will not send the JAM 2024 scorecards by post to any candidate. The candidates are requested to download the scorecard online from the official website of IIT JAM 2024. Candidates must take multiple copies of printout and preserve those till the admission process is complete. It is one of the most crucial documents required for the counselling or the admission process. In case candidates lose the soft copy, they can download the JAM scorecard from the IIT JAM 2024 website archive section or the DigiLocker or Sandes portal of the Government of India.

The results will be declared on March 21, 2025 on the JAM 2024 website. For each Test Paper, an All India Rank (AIR) will be assigned to all candidates based on their performance.
Tie-Breaking: The tie-breaking criteria for awarding the ranks to candidates scoring the same aggregate marks in a Test Paper will be as follows:
Positive-to-negative marks ratio, followed by NAT marks, and then MSQ marks. Subsequently, if there is a tie, then DOB would be used, where, the older candidate gets better rank.
