Really good infrastructure, laboratories, library, and best research opportunities.
Placements: 36 students, including M.Sc. . aspirants and research scholars, cleared the UPSC GSI exam in 2022. Almost 70–80 percent of students from the M.Sc. program get placed in companies like ONGC and other PSU's; the department itself arranges internship programs; and also, PSUs like ONGC, Sail, Coal, and different IITs like Hyderabad, Kharagpur, and Mumbai accept students for internship programmes.
Infrastructure: Every department has its own library along with a central library. Every department has its own lab. The geology department has one of the most renowned laboratories and professionals across the country for research in geology. The institute has Wi-Fi connections in almost the whole campus in every building, like academic buildings, classrooms, libraries, hostels, mess, canteens, and sports complexes. The institute does possess a primary health center for students and staff, as well as a hospital for all types of remedies. Numerous sports events kept happening throughout the year.
Faculty: Faculty members are among the most qualified across the country and have loads of research experience, which guides many research scholars in their ongoing research. The course curriculum is designed accurately to fit in the syllabus of various competitive exams like GATE GSI and IIT JAM. Semester theory papers are not much harder to pass compared to practical papers. Almost 80–90 percent of the batch passes out of the semester but scoring distinction is pretty tough.
Other: Geology offers better job opportunities with much less competition in terms of candidates applying. The college hosts many fests, like spandan, institute day, akansha, kashiyatra, agrim and many more. It also has many start-ups that are supported by the college itself, which organizes many other festivals, events, and cultural programs. The institute also has its own ongoing scholarship programs, and students get scholarships from many different government and private schemes.

Capital of education and glimpses of our culture.
Placements: Almost every student in our department did an internship with the college itself and also some other institutions. ONGC came to our department for placement and selected 8 students from our batch. Also, Vedanta came for placement and took 6 students from the batch. Coal India came earlier for placements in our senior batch. Some renowned institutes give a fair stipend to the students who went for the internship.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is present everywhere on the campus and in the department too. Library with foreign as well as Indian author's books is present, and the books are easily available. Labs with useful instruments are present to make the practicals more informative. The hostels of our university are well equipped. I have never faced any infrastructure related issue.
Faculty: The faculty members in our institute are very cooperative and qualified. They try their best to clear our doubts even after the classes. We did get industry exposure as I am a student of geology background. Field training was provided to us every year. The course curriculum is useful as it gives us the complete knowledge of our subject.
