Absolutely satisfied and I would recommend you to join this college.
Placements: The Electrical Department of Delhi Technological University is the most placement-oriented branch after the tech branches. Around 80 percent of students were placed in the last year’s placement round. The highest package registered was 54 LPA and the lowest was 8 LPA. The average stood at 16 LPA. The top recruiters were Apple, Nvidia, BHEL, etc. Most students got government and private internships. The roles offered were intern, salesperson, assistant, and software developer.
Infrastructure: The whole campus has access to free Wi-Fi but the student has to configure it with his ID every day. Each room is equipped with its personal 2 or 3 LAN ports and the labs have separate Wi-Fi installed in them. The hostel has its own Wi-Fi situated for every floor and even has a LAN port for each individual and additional college Wi-Fi access. The mess food is decent and is better than other government colleges. We have a health center and a huge sports complex which meets the requirements of the students.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and are highly qualified. Most of the professors hold a Ph.D. degree. They use modern technology in their teaching. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and it makes it easy for the students to enter the industry. The semester exams are quite hard as the professors are highly qualified. The Electrical department has the least pass percentage as it is a difficult branch.
Other: I am very interested in electrical so I have chosen this branch. It leads me into the semiconductor industry. The use of modern technologies may make the core subjects easy and more understandable for the students. Events and fests are the best part of the campus; we have the best fest in all of North India.

Best college in Delhi after IIT Delhi.
Placements: We become eligible for campus placement starting in the 7th semester. Top companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Zomato, and Texas Instruments come for placements. The highest package offered in 2022 was 1.8 crores by Palantir London. The average package for the Computer Science branch in 2022 was 24 Lacs per annum. In 2023, the highest package was 82 Lacs per annum, and the average package was 23.7 Lacs per annum for the Computer Science branch. The placement ratio was around 70 percent.
Infrastructure: The old buildings are not that great, but the new ones are really good. My favorite building is the AB building because of the bridge between them. The hostels are old and have an infrastructure that looks like the DU campuses. There is a mess in the hostel itself and a badminton playing area in the center. The library is the best place to study, but it gets a little crowded during exams. There's a fairly large cricket ground along with a football ground. The college Wi-Fi is very poor and we struggle a lot using it.
Faculty: The faculty to student ratio is 1:60 in almost every class. Some teachers show genuine dedication to their work, but others can't even teach a single unit properly in the entire semester. The exams are okay, and I've heard seniors say that it's hard to fail at DTU. This is true if you are regular in class, have good attendance (85+), and don't bother the teacher.
Other: I wanted to be in the CSE branch, but due to my low rank, I was only able to get into Electrical. This is the toughest branch at DTU, and the faculty members are not very kind to you. However, if you're a party person, you'll love it here. DTU is all about fests, and there are a lot of societies that you can join to connect with people.

Placements at Electrical Engineering in DTU.
Placements: As per the official report of the Training and Placement Cell of DTU, 73.56% of students in Electrical Engineering were placed. The highest package: 51 LPA in Microsoft (2024). Average: 14.5 LPA. The lowest: 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Microsoft, Samsung, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, IBM, Philips, L&T, etc. Approximately 40% of students got internships from the Electrical Engineering branch at DTU. Roles offered include Power Systems Engineer, Embedded Systems Engineer, VLSI Engineer, and Design Engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of DTU are marvelous. With a 164-acre vast campus, it is the second-largest engineering college in Delhi after IIT Delhi. A Wi-Fi speed of 1 Gb/s is available on the college campus as well as in computer labs. The labs of all the departments are well-equipped with the latest technologies and machinery. Mechanical Engineering labs of DTU are one of the best labs in India. Hostel infrastructure is also good, although there is no availability for Delhi resident boys. Mess food quality is average. A very good facility for sports is available inside the campus. Cricket and football grounds are separate. A special indoor stadium for badminton, table tennis, and chess is available. There is also a gym adjacent to the sports complex. Girls' hostels also have some treadmills. For medical facilities, a health care center is available in the college, with all the medicine and a qualified doctor.
Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified. Most of them are Ph.D. holders. All the professors are appointed by UPSC. They are all very knowledgeable and are very helpful in case of need. The curriculum is up-to-date to make students industry-ready. In the first year, all the students have to study interdisciplinary subjects to gain knowledge of all the branches. Semester exams are a bit difficult for Electrical Engineering students due to the difficulty of the subject. The pass percentage is 90% approximately for all branches except Electrical Engineering.
Other: Campus and college life is marvelous. Many societies are there for the overall personality development of the students. Fests are organized regularly to freshen up the minds of students. Engifest, our cultural fest, is the best college fest in North India after IIT D. It is well-connected to Rithala and Samaypur Badli metro stations. You can also get scholarships based on the college policy. Semester toppers also get some scholarships.

DTU diaries and every page tells a story.
Placements: 70-80 percent is the placement rate. For my branch, the average package is about 16-17 LPA, and the highest is about 80 LPA for the 2023 batch. Almost all famous companies visit our college. Internships begin in the 3rd year, and 50-60 percent of students get on-campus placement. You can even apply outside the college.
Infrastructure: There is a central library, a specific building for each department. Wi-Fi labs and computer centers are also available. There are 7 hostels for boys and 3 for girls. For first-year boys, you don't get AC hostels, and hotels in the first year are not good; they are just livable, but for the 2nd year onwards, they are good; both AC and non-AC options are there.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable, but in some subjects they are not good; they are still in the old system of teaching. The course is somewhat irrelevant in the first year, but I believe the same is the case with every college. Like in electrical, I am being taught engineering drawing, which I believe is of no use to me. There are 2 exams per semester, and the passing percentage is 35%.
Other: I had an interest in coding and also wanted to go into the field of civil services, so I believe the electrical branch will help me spread my horizons in both fields. I would wish that some core electrical subjects be added in the first year. Events and fests are the best thing about the college. There are innumerable fests, like I have spent 5 months in the college and have faced 5 fests till now, including one of the major fests, Yuvaan. The biggest fest comes in Feb, which is Engifest. Yes, there are various affiliated scholarships, like Airtel, Dell, Reliance, and many more. DTU itself provides scholarships based on family income.

At the end it is a good choice.
Placements: As of now, I am in my final year. I started in 2021 with my batch. According to my seniors, around 70-80% of students were placed this year. The highest package goes up to 22 LPA, and the lowest is 7-8 LPA. Our top recruiting companies are Qualcomm, McKinsey, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Each department has its own separate building. The campus covers 171 acres of land, which is full of greenery, plants, trees, and flowers. There are also many monkeys and dogs on the campus. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus, from the departments to the hostel and mess. The mess food and hostel food are decent—not top-notch but not too bad either. There is a hospital and a bank located on the campus. The sports complex is huge and well-maintained, and intercollege sports competitions are also organized on the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and have received many national and international medals. Some teachers are very helpful. Regarding exams, they are held on our campus and are set by the subject coordinator and the teachers together. Almost all students pass, except for 3-4% of students.
Other: In DTU, you get admission based on your rank by taking the JEE Main Exam, which is held all over India twice a year. I got into the EE course, which is the core branch of the college. You receive instruction from some of the best teachers in India for this course. Overall, it is a good course. College life is enjoyable, with many fests held throughout the year on campus, organized by college societies. There are many societies in the college, such as the dancing society, poetry society, craft society, business society, debate society, etc.
