I would suggest you to join this college.
Placements: 87% of students nearly are placed in this course. The highest package offered was 52LPA whereas average stands at 12LPA. Top recruiters are Ashok Leyland, Bloomberg, IBM, Godrej, CapGemini etc. I don't know about internships but Material Science students can apply at internship in ISRO. Top job offered is of Material Scientist.
Infrastructure: Here we get 1Gb of Wi-Fi daily, Unlimited data in LAN 24/7, Sports rooms, Labs, Classrooms, Department, Library are well-equipped, Canteens, Hostels, Medical facilities are also best. There are multiple foodcourts like Vereka, Nescafe and many more.
Faculty: Teachers are mostly Ph.D. holders, All of them have a helping nature, They are really helpful and they are even ready to help after class. This obviously makes a person industry ready because labs are taken on a regular basis. All required equipments are available in the labs too. Exams are slightly difficult.
Other: This course is good because every infrastructure completely depends upon materials and whatever maybe the work. You will always require the testing of materials. Two events are held. One is called hiifair and other is Nimbus. Campus is beautiful.

Decent placements. Excellent infrastructure.
Placements: Placements here is decent. Around 80 per cent of students get placement who have applied for that. The highest package was 65 lakh of previous year but for my course, it was 18 lakh. JSW is the top recruiting company for the material Science department.
Infrastructure: Excellent infrastructure you will get here. Labs here are well equipped with high and modern machines. Wi-Fi in the department is available and in the hostel, some parts have Wi-Fi. Classrooms here are excellent and the library has all the books from literature to research papers.
Faculty: Nearly all faculty here are supportive in nature. They have high knowledge of the subject. The course is relevant to modern industry requirements. Semesters are quite easy and you can easily pass with a few hours of study. They require 30 per cent marks to pass.
Other: It's a nice course and a very beautiful campus. Campus life is also very nice. Fest is average you can vibe there also.

NIT Hamirpur has one of the most beautiful campuses in India. It has good placements.
Placements: Placements are good. Almost 80–90% of students got good packages. Some of which are decent in some branches. The highest package is 50 LPA, the average is 12–14 LPA and the lowest one is 5-7 LPA. The top recruiters for our course are JSW, Tata Steel, etc., which offer quite a decent amount.
Infrastructure: Hostels are good, with good infrastructure and facilities. Departments have good labs, classrooms, etc. with a clean environment. Canteens are available until the hostel's arrival on campus. Medical facilities are available all the time. Sports and games has different halls and grounds.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, knowledgeable and available most of the time. They are well qualified. The teaching quality is very good. The curriculum is relevant to the industry and deals with real-time problems. Semester exams are at a moderate level and the passing percentage is 100%.
Other: Our course deals with real-time problems in the industry and helps tackle these problems with real-time experience. The college campus is one of the most beautiful campuses in India, with proper cleanliness. Fest is organised on campus every year and students enjoy it well.

Review of NIT Hamirpur - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: About 100% of students were placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 18 LPA, the lowest was 4 LPA, and the average was 8 LPA. TT Consultants, Reliance Jio, and others are top recruiting companies. A few students got internships at different IITs, NITs, and national labs as well. The roles offered were material scientist, research assistant, etc.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi services almost everywhere on campus. There are labs for all subjects although, but they lack many equipments needed. There is a satisfactory library. There are reading rooms for students with electric heaters, coolers, water coolers, and other basic necessities. Classrooms are provided with all basic requirements as well. They are good enough. Hostels are disappointing. Facilities provided are not good, but the hostel fee is quite high. It is approximately Rs. 65,000 per annum. Mess food is quite average. They are more concentrated on local food trends, ignoring the needs of students from other states. Furthermore, the process for obtaining permission to visit home is lengthy and extremely stressful, which is the main disadvantage of these hostels.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. Each professor is an IIT or NIT graduate and holds a doctorate degree. They are knowledgeable and provide us with all the necessary study materials. Overall, the course curriculum is quite relevant, except for the attendance rules. Semester exams take place every 3 months. Mid-semester exams are conducted every 6 months, and end-semester exams are conducted every 3 months. The pass percentage is 33%. Exams are not exceptionally difficult to pass if you are sincere enough.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it, and I am glad about it. Lab resources here need to get better, but faculty members manage them well. There are always some extracurricular activities. The most important things are the annual fest "Hill Fair" and the tech fest "Nimbus," which take place in November, i.e., before winter vacation, and in March, respectively. There are also inter-college and intra-college sports meets and tech hunts throughout the year. Cubs and societies here encourage and help students to take part in them.

NIT Hamirpur, a college in the heart of mountains.
Placements: Well, the batch consists of 40 students, and this year the placement percentage was around 60, but this is also due to the fact that most of the students are aiming for Masters. JSW was one of the major recruiting firms this year in the core sector, the highest package offered was around 10 lac per annum. You can surely avail the placement opportunity owing to the fact the college is a national college in itself, but if placement is your only goal at the end of 4 years, I will suggest taking up some other course, since this is more a less research-oriented course.
Infrastructure: The college has a marvelous infrastructure. The administrative building surely gives a vintage look to the college. Majority of the classes are conducted in the lecture hall complex, where all the classrooms are equipped with necessary equipment. There is a central library too where you will find all sorts of books related to your course, while Labs are also equipped with all the necessary machines. There is a health care center where you can avail the basic medicine, but for a proper checkup, you will have to go the local government hospital. There are 8 Boys Hostel and 5 Girls hostel to accommodate the students, while the quality of food available in the mess is average but you can go the cafes and food courts to escape the mess food. Also, there is a student activity center for indoor games, the college houses a sports ground for all the sports enthusiasts.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members here are actually quite good at qualifications but the same cannot be said for their teaching style. You will have to rely on yourself mostly for the examinations. There are two exams which are held every semester, a mid-semester exam in the mid of the semester and an end semester examination at the end of the semester, apart from which class tests, quizzes and practical exams are also held every semester. Let me tell you a little secret, stereotypes are actually based on some truth, you can pass the examinations if you start studying one or two days before.
Other: Every semester is filled with events, you will find the cultural and technical clubs organizing numerous events in a semester. Also, during the even semester, the technical fest known as NIMBUS is held where all of technical clubs participate and make some amazing projects related to their domain. While during the odd semester, the college organizes its cultural fest known as Hillfair, where you can participate in all of the cultural events and enjoy the performances of some famous artist, who are invited everywhere.
