CISCE Toppers share pro tips to score above 95% in ISC, ICSE Board Exam 2024

Know the syllabus and plan tasks

Know the complete ICSE syllabus 2025. It mentions the units and chapters to be covered. Set your targets for every subject. Decide what needs to be covered in a designated time. Do not start with lengthy units but those that are short and manageable so as to fetch confidence. Once done with the smaller ones, go for lengthy units.

Plan the routine and stick to it

Prepare a timetable to be followed daily. Make a list of all the subjects to be covered. If one realizes it’s difficult to study for longer hours, let’s say 4 hours a day, break it down into two subjects per day i.e. 2 hours for each subject. Tough subjects can be allotted more time, and a little less for the one which seems easier.

Keep time for relaxation

Divide the working hours in such a way as to be able to relax after the completion of a particular topic or ICSE chapter. Do what makes you feel relaxed. It may be listening to music, a cup of coffee, or just having a small walk around and taking a sip of water.

Solve previous years' papers/ ICSE Specimen Papers 2025

It is important to solve previous years' question papers for better preparation. They'll help one get familiar with the marking scheme, different types of questions asked, duration and exam pattern. One even gets to know the questions asked in the exam over the years.

Stay away from personal stress

Avoid all unnecessary phone calls and social networking sites since all these can act as a distraction.

Make notes

While studying, make notes of all the important notes and formulas. These can be referred to before exam day.

How to Start ICSE Class 10 Board Exams 2025 Preparation?

  • Plan for Battles (Making study timetable!)
Every hero should have a strategy to begin; here's how to build your study schedule:
Know yourself: Are you an early bird or a night owl? Consequently, allocate your studying time accordingly.
Divide and conquer: Allocate times for every subject with equal weight to each one of them. Also, breaks are important, but weary heroes are not so effective!
Be realistic: Do not try to take more than you can handle. On the other hand, set easy goals and milestones that can encourage you in between.
  • Arm Yourself Appropriately (Concept Clarity is the Key!)
Memorizing is great, but real understanding gets top marks; here is what will help solidify your knowledge:
Master the basics: Ensure you have strong fundamentals in each subject area. Without a strong foundation, building your knowledge tower may become quite dangerous!
Do not fear asking questions: When something bothers you, do not hesitate to ask questions from teachers, fellow students, or even online sources. Practice makes perfect: Like any soldier, sharpening his techniques solves many problems and exercises. The more exercises done; the greater confidence gained.
  • Delve into ICSE Class 10 Question Banks 2025
Here are some tips on how to use question banks effectively:
Find appropriate ones: Look for question banks specifically designed for the ICSE Class 10 syllabus 2025, which has the latest content.
Don't just skim through it all - solve the problems! You should pay attention to different types of questions: short answer, long answer, and analytical ones.

ICSE Class 10 Mock Tests

Practicing mock tests gives you an added advantage. Here are the benefits:
ICSE Class 10 Mock Tests acquaint you with the exam format, including question type and time constraints. They also help develop examination temperament.
Practice makes perfect: Weak areas of your knowledge can be identified using mock tests. Focus on them during revision to fill the gaps.
Boost your confidence: By performing well in mock tests, you'll boost your confidence levels and reduce exam anxiety – a true warrior's trait! So, there are plenty of resources online and through schools that offer ICSE Class 10 mock tests – get on with it!
  • Level Up Your Learning (Revision is Your Best Friend!)
Revision isn't just about reading over your notes again; here is how to make it an active process of learning:
Create mind maps: Simplify complex topics by creating visual representations of ideas that will stick in your head.
Flashcards are useful tools for drilling down key concepts and terms, particularly those that tend to confuse you most of the time.
Teach someone else about it: The best way to assert yourself is to teach someone.
Lastly, remember to look after yourself- eat healthy, sleep enough hours each night, and plan something fun on the side so you won't feel overwhelmed. An examinee with a healthy body and mind possesses essential weapons for conquering exams.

This is the first step to your journey to the glory of the ICSE Class 10 board exam. By following these tips and building a solid study routine, you will be well on your way to achieving your academic goals. So, now get out there, champion, and start slaying those textbooks!
