Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

    Decent Placements Records.
Placements: The placements at MAIT are pretty good, with the highest package going up to 50 LPA. The average package for CSE and IT branches is 7-8 LPA, while for the core branches, it ranges from 4-5 LPA. Last year, an internship fair was organized, and many students secured internships through that.
Infrastructure: The place is spacious, and the faculty is great. The library is fully air-conditioned and a fantastic spot to study. There are five canteens, all well-priced. The college does not have Wi-Fi throughout but offers it only in the labs. The labs are well-equipped, with very helpful and patient lab assistants.
Faculty: The faculty is excellent. The teachers put in a lot of effort to help us understand the material and hold extra classes for those who need additional support. The subjects are great, although the difficulty level is pretty high considering the range of students. However, there is a concerted effort from both the faculty and the students to overcome these challenges. The passing percentage is 40%.

    Excellent placements and well-equipped labs.
Placements: Students are placed well in the tech programs like CSE, IT, AI-ML, and AI, but not so well in the ME and MAE programs, where the highest salary package is roughly 60 LPA from last year. The college's principal employers include Microsoft, HCL, Infosys, TCS, Accenture, and numerous others. About 45 percent of the students were placed last year, and the placement cell is also very helpful.
Infrastructure: The campus of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology is not as big compared to larger engineering colleges, but it has all the basic amenities within its campus. It features air-conditioned classrooms and well-equipped labs. The sports facilities include an indoor badminton court and a basketball court. There are a total of five canteens, with the main one having a sitting capacity of around 40. The library is large, with many books, providing a peaceful environment to study. The medical facilities are decent.
Faculty: Our college faculty is highly experienced in their fields and very supportive. However, the curriculum taught is a bit outdated and needs to be reviewed. The exam difficulty is decent; if one studies a month prior to the exam, they can score good marks. Almost 95 percent of students pass the examinations, but the curriculum is not up to mark, as it teaches old material that lacks industry relevance.

    College review and placement details.
Placements: Placement was really good at the time of COVID because of the boom. Then there was a market correction and it got dipped. Now it's steadily improving. I think it's around pre-COVID times now. And don't expect the COVID boom to come any time soon. One can get placement here if he or she is skilled enough.
Infrastructure: Classrooms in the new building where my classes are very good compared to the classes in the old building. Labs follow a similar pattern. The library is okay; I rarely go there. Canteen is not good, probably only where mess food is really good than canteen food. Sports I don't know. Medical facilities: there's a hospital next to my college. Wi-Fi is not available.
Faculty: Some faculty are nice, some are not It's not the same story of every college and school. It would be great if we got to choose the faculty. My curriculum is particularly more relevant than other branches because it's a new field. Industry readiness can't be expected from any course from any college. From any country, I think education system is flawed everywhere. 2nd semester was difficult, 1 semester a bit also but rest were okay.

Good placement records and decent campus.
Placements: The highest package offered was 1 crore in 2022 and it was off campus; almost 50 percent of the students were placed last year. On-campus internships are also offered but that is given to very few students. The companies that visit for placement drive regularly include Accenture, TCS, Wipro, etc. The average package for tech branches lies somewhere between 7 and 8 lacs, while for core branches it is comparatively low, to 4 to 5 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Great campus, good infrastructure, faculty was very supportive and understanding, sports facilities include indoor badminton courts for girls and boys, a common room gym, no ragging in the college, etc. are available. There is no Wi-Fi available on campus; the classrooms are air-conditioned, but some AC's don't work and need maintenance.
Faculty: Our department has well-qualified teachers who are always willing to help students who are eager to learn. The course offered to us is up-to-date and relevant. The semester exams are easy; if you study regularly, you can easily cover the complete syllabus and score good marks.

    Good Placements and Decent infrastructure.
Placements: Placements at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology are fairly competitive, with the highest package reaching around INR 45 LPA, while the lowest is about INR 3-4 LPA. Approximately 40% of students secure jobs or internships, with top roles like software development, data analysis, and technical consultant. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Cognizant, though large tech companies are less frequent.
Infrastructure: The labs, classrooms, and library are mostly air-conditioned and there are 3-4 canteens within the college including ones of Amul and Nescafe and the food is good too. The campus size is also quite decent. And the ground is good too. The new block has centralized AC and smart classrooms.
Faculty: The faculty is average. Some teachers create interest in students and motivate them whereas some teachers don't teach that well. Curriculum relevance is good for example, DSA is very important in IT engineering and that is being taught here. But the curriculum in the first year is very irrelevant as they teach everything including welding etc.
