A few more updates are given below:
- The MAT 2026 May session registrations have started for admission to the MBA course. For the PBT mode, the registration deadline is May 25, 2026, with the exam scheduled for May 31, 2026. For the CBT mode, the last date to register is Jun 8, 2026, for the exam taking place on Jun 14, 2026.
- The CAT 2026 registration is expected to start in the Aug, 2026 for admission to the MBA course.
- The NIMCET 2026 application portal is live for admission to the MCA course. The last date for registration is May 1, 2026 (5 Pm), and the exam is scheduled for Jun 6, 2026.
- The GATE COAP 2026 registration link is active for admission to ME/MTech/PhD programmes. The GATE COAP 2026 round 1 window to view offers and make a decision will be opened on May 11, 2026 (10 AM).

NIT Kurukshetra offers a number of scholarships to the students. National Institute of Technology Haryana students can avail of Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for SC students, and Alumni Association Scholarships.

- The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for SC students offers 26 merit scholarships and 52 merit-cum-means scholarships are awarded by the institute for each year of the BTech degree courses. In addition to these, National Scholarships, Post-metric Scholarships, and many other stipends are awarded by various Government institutions and other agencies.

You can get CSE in GFTI as per the JoSSA counselling cutoff last year. You cannot get any branch, like CSE, ECE in NIT at this rank.
