Decent college and good exposure because it's NIT.
Placements: Our college provides decent placements, especially for CSE and IT. The highest package for CSE IT is 43 LPA. The average package for CSE IT is 12 LPA. Some recruiters are Samsung, Google, Microsoft, ONGC, BPCL PowerGrid, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Autodesk, etc.
Infrastructure: Good hostels and infrastructure are there. There are 4 hostels. Jhelum is for final-year students, Chenab is for 3rd year students, Indus is for 2nd year students, Mansar is for 1st year students, and Tawi is also for 4th year students. All campus and hostels are Wi-Fi enabled. Thank you.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable and helpful for GATE exams and many other competitive exams. Math faculty members are very strict and create difficult question papers. And very rarely, students have passed the math subject. Please prepare seriously and do not waste time. Thank you.

Satisfied with the branch and all about college.
Placements: Nearly 70–80% of students got placed easily in various companies, and the highest package offered now is INR 44 LPA, and the average package is about INR 9–10 LPA. In my course, the top recruiters are some PSUs, Mahindra and Mahindra, Vedanta, etc. And in a year, up to 85% of students get internships at DRDO and a few automobile companies.
Infrastructure: The hostels are big, but there are more students in a room, which is not good for studying. Wi-Fi is available but sometimes stops working. Classrooms are good with ACs and boards. The food quality of mess food is not so good, which means it is okayish. And in the canteen, it's good but a little bit more expensive. The medical center is good, with various facilities like x-rays, dentists, etc. But a lack of medicine means we need to go outside to purchase it. A sports facility is good if all grounds and courts are present, but there are no tournaments.
Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified from top institutes in the nation, and they are supportive and help students in various things. In the second year, the students are given extra knowledge for industry preparation. Here, exams are tough, but students can pass easily if they study well. And the curriculum for internal marks is tough. Nearly 50–60% of students pass easily.
Other: My dream is to become a car designer, so I come here for the mechanical branch, which is helpful for me and my career. Some extra knowledge should be given to students beyond academics so they know where they can go after graduation. There are a lot of programs happening here. Tech Fest: Techvaganza Musical and dance: Sargam and a lot of clubs like art and culture. Scholarships for schedule-tried students are easily available. Extracurricular activities happen, but the student has to leave his academics for them.

Everything is good but I think there needs to be an upgrade in the food quality and the crowd.
Placements: Around 70-80% of the students get placed in ECE. The average package offered is around 11 LPA, the highest is 19.20 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 6 LPA to the students of the ECE branch in 2024 in the month of September, and it is still ongoing. Top recruiting companies are Airtel, Oracle, and Nexturn. Read More.
Infrastructure: Very good infrastructure and teachers. But the fests are not organized. As for the placements, they are pretty good every year. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, Vedanta, Tata Elxsi, and Powergrid pick up the students with the potential to work under their guidance. The placement percentage for ECE in the year 2023 was about 89%.
Faculty: Placements are going well. In the 2023 passing-out batch, the placements were quite good, but for the 2024 passing-out batch, due to recession, the placement is not going well. At the end of their 7th semester, only 100-150 students are placed in a batch of almost 700 students. Big companies of this year till now are Oracle, Infineon, Autodesk, etc.
Other: The B.Tech program offered by the National Institute of Technology Srinagar is highly popular due to its promising career prospects. The institute offers B.Tech specializations in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and Metallurgical & Materials Engineering. NIT Srinagar offers B.Tech courses for four years to eight semesters. The curriculum of the program has been developed and upgraded to enhance the knowledge of students through fundamental understanding and problem-solving abilities. Below are some of the popular courses offered by NIT Srinagar and their respective eligibility and fees:

Experience of NIT Srinagar.
Placements: I am 2023 passing out batch and in my branch 85% students are placed with more than 2 offers in hand. The highest package in private companies is around 13LPA from Vedanta and average package is around 6LPA. Top recruiters are Vedanta, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Projects, Cairn Oil and many more. Along with these PSUs also came for placement like BEL GAIL, BPCL till now. Roles offered are GET, Management trainee.
Infrastructure: Hostels are really good with 24*7 Wi-Fi connectivity. Each room have 4 students and in final year we get single room. Classrooms are well furnished with smart board teaching. Mess and canteen is also available where we get nice abd tasty food. Mess have variable menu abd special menu for festivals. Campus has got a really good ground with athletic track, basketball grounds, football grounds and many more things.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and well qualified with Masters and Ph.D. degrees. Teaching quality is upto the standards of NITs. Mechanical engineering course is very much relevant and it makes students industry ready as today's industry demands mechanical engineers. Pass percentage in exams is around 95% and rest all of them clear in supplementary examination.
Other: I chose mechanical course as I was always fascinated by machines and want to work with them. I wish more practical subjects should be there related to Automobile engines and all. Campus also great. Every festival is celebrated with full joy and happiness. Also every year we have freshers party and farewell party. Campus is situated in very beautiful Kashmir valley along the banks of dal lake which make it india's most beautiful campus.

Our college provides average placements, which are sufficient.
Placements: In our college, more than 70% of students are placed. PSUs like GAIL and BEL have picked a few batchmates, and BPCL will visit our campus in a few days. Many students are placed in VEDANTA and JSW. Top recruiting companies like L&T, etc., visit our campus.
Infrastructure: Our college provides excellent facilities. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus and hostels. A few times, we are unable to use it because of weather conditions. The quality of the food in the mess is average.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful. They try to be by their side to make students feel at ease while going through the curriculum. The course curriculum is relevant. We solve competitive papers. Exams are easy.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because, since my school days, physics has been my favorite subject, especially thermodynamics and mechanical parts.

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately.
