Candidates will have to select the IIT JAM exam centre city while filling out the application form. They will have to enter as many as two exam cities in preferential order. NTA will try to allot the exam centre according to candidates preferences. However, the final decision will be made by the exam authorities.

No, IIT Madras, the examination authority will not send the JAM 2025 admit card by post and candidates had to download it online from the official website. Candidates were advised to take multiple printouts and check the details printed on the IIT JAM 2025 admit card carefully. The Biotechnology paper was also of moderate to tough difficulty level. A few questions were direct and easy to answer. Molecular Biology and Cell Biology had the maximum number of questions. A few questions were really easy to answer while some required theoretical knowledge. Molecular Biology and Cell Biology had the maximum number of questions.

IIT JAM 2024 Exam Analysis

1. Paper was found to be moderately tough.
2. Numerical Answer Type (NAT) found to be very difficult by most of the IIT JAM 2024 Mathematics candidates.
3. MCQ questions that were asked in the section A and section B were also found to be very difficult to answer. More tricky types questions were asked.
4. MSQ section was doable.

IIT JAM Mathematics detailed exam analysis: Section wise

Section A: 5-6 questions were asked as straightforward MCQ questions.

1. Group of order 39 has exactly one sub group of order 3 and 13. G cannot be boolean as 13 has element of order.

Section A: Moderate

The exam difficulty level as compared from previous year was easu, however, the questions came this year were quite lengthy. NAT type questions took longer time to solve. In macroeconomics, ISLM had the maximum weightage and many questions were there on matrices. The IIT JAM 2024 Economics cut off will be higher than last year cut off.

Memory Based Questions: Two questions were on producer and consumer surplus graph (standard supply demand graph). Candidates were need to find the value of the surplus and change in the surplus.

Khushi: IIT JAM 2024 Biotechnology exam difficulty level was moderate. In Biology questions from Immunology, Genetics, Recombinant DNA Technology topics were asked. In sections, i.e., NAT, both from physics and mathematics questions were asked. Section A and B was comparatively easy than Section C.

Sudarshan: IIT JAM Economics subject exam difficulty level was easier than last year. Some direct questions were asked from liquidity preference money supply and few were asked from consumer and supplier chain product.

IIT Madras has released the IIT JAM 2024 answer key on February 19, 2024. JAM 2024 test takers can visit the official website to download the JAM 2024 master question paper and JAM answer key 2024. 

The examination authority will also open the Answer key challenge IIT JAM 2024 portal. Candidates will be able to raise objections against the answer provided by the authority at the official website. Candidates will be able to submit challenges against the provisional answer keys within the stipulated deadline by paying a fee of INR 500 per question.

IIT JAM Provisional answer key is the tentative answer key which is released by the exam authority. These answers are based on the responses of the JAM exam question paper which is made by the exam authority experts. Provisional answer key is not final answey key. At times there are high possibilities where the students who had given the examination are not statisfied by the answers given in the provisional answer key.

Test takers are given the chance to object against the provisional answer key and the exam authority will provode a window for the candidates to raise objection against the provisional answer key. With the proper supporting material for the questions they are raising objections and if found valid by the exam authority experts, a new and final JAM answer key will be prepared.

The payment of the processing fee of the IIT JAM 2025 answer key challenge will have to be made through,  Debit card/Credit Card/Net Banking/Paytm/UPI. No challenge will be accepted without receipt of the processing fee. The Answer Key challenges will not be accepted through any other medium ie: fax, email or hard copy. The IIT JAM 2025 answer key will help candidates cross-check their answers marked on the answer sheet of the entrance exams and calculate their estimated scores.

The answer key challenge fee of INR 500 will only be refunded if the claim is found to be valid.

In case the IIT JAM answer key objections are found to be valid, then marks will be awarded to candidates based on the nature of challenge. In case there are multiple correct answer keys to a question, only those candidates who have attempted it correctly as per the revised Answer key will be awarded marks. In case a question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks will be given to all candidates irrespective of whether they had attempted it or not.  

The results will be declared on March 21, 2025 on the JAM 2024 website. For each Test Paper, an All India Rank (AIR) will be assigned to all candidates based on their performance.
Tie-Breaking: The tie-breaking criteria for awarding the ranks to candidates scoring the same aggregate marks in a Test Paper will be as follows:
Positive-to-negative marks ratio, followed by NAT marks, and then MSQ marks. Subsequently, if there is a tie, then DOB would be used, where, the older candidate gets better rank.

For each Test Paper, an All India Merit list will be prepared based on AIR. The number of candidates included in the All India Merit List will depend on the total number of seats available in each category (GEN/ OBC-NCL/ EWS/ SC/ ST/ PwD) in a given subject.

IIT JAM scores will be used for admission to over 2000 seats for postgraduate programmes such as MSc and MA at IISc and various NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET, DIAT through Centralized Counselling for MSc / MSc (Tech.) Admission (CCMN). There are no additional written tests or interviews for admission to candidates qualifying JAM and satisfying the eligibility and special
eligibility requirements through CCMN.

IIT JAM 2025 Scorecard is basically a rankcard which consist of the number of marks which the aspirant has achieved in the IIT JAM 2025 examination. The Score Card will contain separate scores for Section A, B and C. The University will draw the merit list based on the total score achieved by the candidates.

The IIT JAM 2025 Scorecard will be valid for admission to the academic year 2025-26 only. IIT Tirupati JAM Cutoff 2024 has been concluded for MSc admissions, wherein the Cutoff was released for MSc in Mathematics and Statistics, MSc in Chemistry and MSc in Physics. If the student falls under the General AI Category, with the IIT JAM Cutoff rank of 750, he/she can get admission into MSc in Mathematics and Statistics and MSc in Chemistry, during the Last-round. The last-round closing ranks for MSc in M&S was 229 and for MSc in Chemistry was 727.

Candidates need to pay the following fees at the time of the admission process: 

IIT JAM 2024 applications shall be scrutinized to verify the data entered by the candidate with the submitted supporting documents, clarity of the photograph and signature. If everything is found to be in order, the application will be accepted. Otherwise, defects in the application will be marked and intimated to the candidate for rectification within a stipulated time. The status of the application and defects marked in the application will be intimated to the candidates through e-mail and/or SMS. The latest status of an application will be updated after the receipt and re-scrutiny of the application.

The status of an application can be checked at any point of time by logging in JOAPS. Candidates should rectify the marked defects in the application before the stipulated deadline. Failing to rectify the defects within the stipulated time can lead to the rejection
of the application.

There will be a total of 60 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The entire paper will be divided into three sections, A, B and C. All sections are compulsory. Questions in each section will be of different types as given below:

Section - C contains a total of 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions involving 10 questions of one mark each and 10 questions of two marks each. For NAT questions, the answer is a signed real number, which needs to be entered using the virtual numeric keypad displayed on the monitor. No choices will be shown for NAT questions. There is no negative marking for NAT.

JOAPS stands for JAM Online Application Portal System. Now that IIT JAM 2025 application process is going to start from September 3, 2024, interested applicants of JAM 2025 examination can visit the official webiste of IIT JAM 2025 and sign up to the JOAPS portal in order to register themselves first.

Scribes will be arranged for those PwD candidates who have requested to be provided with a scribe at the time of application.
Qualification of the scribe arranged by test center will NOT be more than the minimum eligibility criteria of JAM 2025. However, the qualification of the scribe will be matriculation (10th) or above. If there are Y candidates who require scribe, it will be ensured that a panel of (Y+1) scribes is available at the exam centre so that every candidate can have an alternative scribe to choose for the services.
Each eligible PwD candidate will be presented with TWO scribes on the day before examination. The candidate has to choose one from these two scribes. Candidates will NOT be permitted to bring their own scribe, if they have already requested to be provided with scribes. PwD Candidates are permitted to visit the Exam Centre a day before the examination to get familiarized with the arrangements.

Candidates seeking admission to select postgraduate programmes for the academic year 2025-26 must appear in JAM 2025 Examination. IIT JAM 2025 for this academic cycle will be conducted by IIT Delhi, the examination conducting body on February 2, 2025. 

Instrested applicants of IIT JAM 2025 examination can visit the official website of IIT JAM 2025 and fill up the IIT JAM 2024 application form. The online application portal has been opened on September 3, 2024 and can be applied for a period of around a month. The last date for filling up the online application form for MSc courses will be October 11, 2024.

The last date for filling up the online application form for MSc courses has been extended to October 18, 2024. Candidates qualifying in JAM 2025 are eligible to apply for admission to around 3000 seats in IITs for the academic year 2025-26. No additional evaluation process, such as suitability test or interview is required for admission to the programmes in Admitting Institutes under JAM 2025.

IIT JAM 2025 for the academic session 2025-2026 will be conducted by IIT Delhi, the examination conducting body on February 02,  2025. Aspirants who had already completed an undergraduate degree (BSc) or are currently studying in the final year of undergraduate programmes are eligible to apply for the exam.
