Our university is the best in India.
Placements: College is providing placements with a salary package of 25 LPA. Around 8 students got placed. Even after COVID in an online interview, 3 students got placed. Around 1 student got placed in Schlumberger this year.
Infrastructure: Facilities and hostel are good with very nominal fee for hostel and course. Lot of free things can be accessed like Wi-Fi, gym, bus service, library, and medical services.
Faculty: Teachers are highly experienced from IIT and Ph.D. from foreign with the best content. Some scientists are teaching in this department. A lot of teachers have more than 15 years of industry experience. They give an exact Idea to deal with this course and get successful.
Other: Scholarship is provided by government. A lot of seminars are conducted to gain lot of experience.

Review of BHU - Banaras Hindu University.
Placements: Around 25% of the students get placed every year. The average salary package offered is 20 LPA. Top recruiting companies like ONGC, Oil INDIA, Schlumberger, etc., visit our campus for placements. A top role offered to the students is geophysicist. Institutions like NGRI, ONGC and WADIA, etc., provide an internship in our course for students.
Infrastructure: Plenty of facilities are available in our courses. Geophysics is one of the most reputed courses provided by Banaras Hindu University. The infrastructure of our college is great. The college provides the most important facilities like Wi-Fi, great labs, classrooms, separate library, etc. The hostel facility is great. Facilities available in the hostel are much greater than the prices charged by the institution.
Faculty: Our department at Banaras Hindu University has a great history and strength in producing great alumni worldwide people like Jagdeesh Shukla, etc. Teachers in our college are highly qualified and helpful. The knowledge provided by them is too precious. Their teaching quality is very great. The course curriculum provides lots of field experience which make students get ready for the industries for further future.
Other: I have chosen this course because it involves exploration, travelling and a lot more adventurous things.

BHU is one of the prestigious institutes in Asia.
Placements: Some well-known companies like ONGC, OIL India, etc., visited the college and recruited geophysics students. As per the records of the last year, approximately 25-30% of the students were placed. The salary package offered was 18 LPA, for all the placed students. They got the job as a geophysicist in the oil and petroleum sector.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good. Wi-Fi facility is available 24x7. Hostel rooms are up to the mark. Food served in the canteen and mess is average. Quality of labs and classrooms is average. I didn't face any issue related to the infrastructure during my tenure at the college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified and very good. The quality of teaching is good. Classrooms are equipped with projectors. Some teachers teach using the projector, and some teach on the board as per their choice. The course curriculum is useful. We went for an educational tour in the first semester, where we got industry exposure.

This is a university of its own class and standards.
Placements: 25% of placement among my seniors. 17.5 lac was the average package offered. ONGC, OIL india, VEDANTA were the companies which participated in placement programme. They provided the post of geophysicist. Internship is offered to 100% students.10 k the highest stipend and the lowest was 0. Yes we have placement cell. Very good.
Infrastructure: Excellent quality environment for extra curricular activity. Food quality is the worst. Hostel rooms are smaller than average. Yes, many issues such as non availability of proper security to avoid mobile snatching and burgalary. Security related funds get consumed by hostel warden.
Faculty: No, attitude of the teachers are the worst few of them have been posted here by paying bribe. Most of them give marks on the basis of caste. Teaching methods are outdated. Yes we get the industry exposure ONGC, DEHRADUN. Yes. The course curriculum was very useful.
Other: Events-aakanksha. Crowd is huge. Poor links between the department. Extracurricular activity funds are best.

The college provides good job opportunities, really good faculty members and environment to study.
Placements: Around 20% of students got placed through college placements. The average package offered is 20-22 LPA. 90% of students got internships in different companies like ONGC, Oil India, NCMRWF, IITM, etc. Top recruiting company is ONGC. Students are offered the roles of geophysicist etc.
Infrastructure: The campus is beautiful. It has a good environment to study. There is a library with 24-hour availability of Wi-Fi. The hostel has 24-hour Wi-Fi available. A mess and medical facilities are also available. There are many courts for indoor games.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. They are friendly with students and always available to guide them. It's a 3-year course with semester systems. This course prepares students to build the ability to work in the industry as well as to perform well in the GATE exam.

Geo physics is the most influential course in India these days and also, it has the widest network to work with. Therefore, in my opinion, geophysics is good to opt, if you are interested to pursue.
