Q:   Can I get admission to Delhi Technological University in BTech CSE if my rank is under 5000?

A:

For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 4008 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in DTU - Delhi Technological University.

Q:   How is DTU for B.Tech?

A:

DTU ranked 29 under the 'Engineering' category by the NIRF 2023. There are many IITs ranked before DTU under the same category. Also, it competes against the top-notch NITs and second-phase IITs in several specialisations of BTech. Hence, it is safe to say that DTU is as good as an IIT or an NIT in northern India. In fact, The Times Rankings 2022 ranked DTU number 1 in the Delhi NCR region for 'Engineering' category.

DTU BTech students are placed in top companies like Samsung, Microsoft, Zomato, and others. Also the BTech fee is not very high. To clear JEE Main, candidates must study according to the JEE Main syllabus and appear for as many JEE Main mock tests as possible.

Q:   Can I get direct admission in DTU for BTech?

A:

The selection criteria for BTech at DTU clearly states that having a JEE Mains rank is the minimum requirement for final seat allotment. Therefore, it is suggested to get qualifying scores at JEE Mains for admission at DTU. Additionally, students are also required to go through the JAC counselling process to get a seat at Delhi Technological University. After the result of JEE Main, JAC counselling for seat allotment is usually conducted in four rounds. However, there are additional spot rounds conducted for vacant seats (if available).

Good experience with qualified faculty, impressive placements in 2023. Good college life.
Placements: The usual placement percentage of the Mathematics and Computing engineering batch is around 75%, and a lot of students even pursue higher studies. The highest package was 82 Lacs per annum and the average package was around 19 Lacs per annum. Many good companies come to Delhi Technological University for placements, like Google, Microsoft, Atlassian, and Amazon, to hire students from the Mathematics and Computing branch. Internship opportunities are also ample, and around 60% of students are able to crack good internships from this branch. This branch offers both technology-related and finance-related roles to its students after they graduate.
Infrastructure: The library, labs, and classrooms are centrally air-conditioned. The libraries are big and provide the students with any book they require, with a strong Wi-Fi connection. Hostels are comfortable, the mess is very hygienic and clean, with nutritious food available. Medical facilities are really good, and quick medical aid is provided to any student in case of a medical emergency. The sports complex is big and provides students with equipment for any sport they want to play.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and teach with detailed and comprehensive methods, which make it easy for students to visualize every topic. The course curriculum is according to the new education policy and is highly relevant for making the student ready for the outside world and industry-ready after graduation. The semester exams are not too difficult and can be easily passed by attending classes and reviewing the notes made during the classes. The pass percentage in the Mathematics and Computing branch is more than 90%. It is very rare for students to fail in this course.

College is great but in the end, it depends upon students.
Placements: Placement for this year is ongoing, but in 2023, 83% of students were placed. The highest salary package offered was 60 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 20.7 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Zomato, etc. Roles offered were of software developers in these companies.
Infrastructure: Our campus size is approximately 163 acres. It has well-built classrooms with air-conditioners and condition of washrooms is good. Labs are good and equipments mostly are fine, although some are old. Wi-Fi speed is also decent but it works well only in library. Sports facilities are excellent with sports such as badminton, cricket, tennis, table tennis, and basketball, etc.
Faculty: All teachers are knowledgeable and qualified but most of them don't teach that well, although there are some exceptions. Course curriculum was previously old but it has changed now. There are branch-related subjects being taught from 2nd semester. It is easy to pass exams as exams are not that difficult also passing marks are less.

DTU Review - Pros and cons.
Placements: The placement percentage is around 70 percent. The highest package was around 60 LPA, while the average is 18 LPA, and the least was around 3-6 LPA. Top companies include Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Apple, Facebook, Zomato, and many more companies for non-tech roles also.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure in the classrooms is decent. They are kept clean and have AC and a projector, while they do not have a smart board. The hostel infrastructure and mess food depend from hostel to hostel, while some are good, others are straight-up bad. The water in college is not clean.
Faculty: Faculty members are mostly good. Some are knowledgeable, while others lack knowledge or will, but most of them are knowledgeable and helpful. The course curriculum is relevant but does not make students industry-ready. For this, students follow online resources like YouTube.
Other: Fests are mostly enjoyable while some are not .

Review of B.Tech with Mathematics and Computing (DTU) .
Placements: Placement rate is really good from our course. About 75% of the students were placed in Mathematics & Computing. The average package of our course is around 20 lacs/annum, while the highest package usually goes up to 80 lacs/annum. Sometimes, for exceptional students, it reaches up to 1 crore/annum. Top recruiting companies are Google, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, Oracle, Paytm, and many more. Usually very few get an internship in their 3rd year of the course. While up until next year, 80% of the students get their internship opportunities. And even get a placement offer if they show their good work there.
Infrastructure: DTU infrastructure is really good. DTU has a green environment, which makes students enjoyable. Old departments are not that good. But the new departments of computer science, IT, software, and applied mathematics have really good facilities. It has 4 lifts for student use, as this building contains 8 floors in total. Proper ventilation is there. Also, classes are air conditioned. So, you might get could, but you will not feel hot there. Similar is for the DTU library, in which you can study any time you want. The library is also air-conditioned. It's contains a really great amount of books classified based on your department or branches. You will get Wi-Fi facilities in both places—your classroom and library. So you can bring your laptop and spend your time there. Old hostels are not that good because they have less space and you have to live with your roommate. But many people prefer it as they are not that costly. While new hostels are really good, with many facilities, like clean, shiny bathrooms and toilet facilities. Also, it has a separate place for playing table tennis within the hostel. You can find canteens everywhere around the college, and they have reasonable prices. DTU also has its own canteen, which is really cheap. The taste of food will be average. While other canteens are really good within campus. DTU has separate medical facilities, which are free for college students. Only a part of the fee is included in your college feels for every student. DTU has separate grounds for playing football and cricket. Also, it has table tennis, Kabaddi Ground, basketball court, and badminton court. So, you can play any sport whenever you get time to play it. Also, DTU has an indoor gym and an open outdoor gym for college students; you can also spend your time there when you are bored or free.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, as they usually help weak students. Some may provide you with notes, while others don't. If you ask them questions or have any doubt, they will solve them for you. Maintaining good connections with teachers turns out to be really good, as they sometimes cancel classes for you. Overall, the quality of teaching is good, as you are usually taught by a Ph.D. scholar. There have been changes in the current curriculum of our branches, like subjects that were taught in 3rd and 4th year are now taught in 2nd year only. So, they have updated their curriculum as per the industry requirements. Overall, it doesn't give you placement-ready benefits, but you will have a good technical background. Other skills that are important for your job, you have to learn by yourself. Usually odd semesters are more difficult as they are of a shorter time period, like 4 months from August to November. While even semesters are of a greater time period, like 5 months, so it's not that hectic during these months. Also, almost everyone passes these exams if you start studying 5 days before exams, as many students got back in some subjects.
Other: This was the best course I was getting at my JEE Main rank. Also, I have a keen interest in mathematics and programming; therefore, I liked this course very much for myself. This course gives you an edge over others as you have a good mathematical background while doing this course. Things that I want to improve about this course are to reduce our working hours, as Mathematics and Computing is one of the most hectic branches in DTU. Also, there should be more technical courses other than mathematics. I enjoy here when it's festival session here, as I enjoy festival with my friend. If you are willing to choose this course or another, your college life is almost going to be the same, and you will enjoy festivals and events here.

One of the great college of India and 14 structure and facilities are wonderful.
Placements: The placement ratio vary from 70% to 80% There are many good companies that come to our college, such is Microsoft Adobe Amazon Flipkart Google, etc. So the highest package wed last year was 1.06 crores; that is a very good package and the average of this branch was 20.7 crores, so the student also get internships in the college.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure at DTU is good. Our department was newly built last year and is known as Twin Tower OTTU. The classrooms are fully air-conditioned and have good seating. The library is very big and has a wide selection of books, but I think it could have more fiction books.
Faculty: The teachers at DTU are very helpful and well-educated. Most of the faculty hold Ph.D. degrees, which ensures that the quality of education is good. The new education policy makes it easier for students to get into their desired courses. However, some teachers do not teach properly, which affects the passing percentage.
Other: I chose this course because this is a combination of mathematics as well as computer science, so the best thing that I got to know is that with computer Science in mathematics and making great things in life, what thing should improve that Ash we should develop starting coding first year only there are events that are best of nice by the cultural society is good Next to the door and metro station is the 10-minute scholarship provided by the DTU and other information also.
