Important Resources and Books

  1. This is a regular educational board that requires 75% attendance to appear for the examination. The students need to be regular in attending their classes. Regular attendance ensures that the students can understand their syllabus and also clear any doubts which they have as far as any subject is concerned. Teachers serve as a great source of guidance in their subject area. Students can also take the help of their peers.
  2. Students can also attend coaching classes or private/group tutoring to get a better grasp and practice in their weak subjects. Students need to understand that coaching and extra classes are not the replacement to school, just complementary to it. Coaching classes can only give additional help and practice, not make the student study.
  3. Previous Years Papers are available on the Karnataka SSLC official website: kseeb.kar.nic.in. They are a great resource for practising and getting familiar with the paper pattern. Papers are available for all the subjects. Annual/Supplementary, as well as model question papers, are available on the website.
  4. The textbooks provided by the state board are also a resource to study from. The books are issued and approved by the board itself and covers the entire syllabus. Study the textbooks thoroughly and do not skip anything. Be fully prepared for the exam.
  5. There are also several reference books which the students can refer to. The study material provided by the coaching institute can also help. Know your syllabus by heart so that you know what to study. However, do not overburden yourself with too much study material.
