Q:   How is JNU for the B.Tech. Course?

A:

JNU is a good option for applying for admission to BTech courses if you did not get admitted to the IITs, NITs, or other top engineering colleges. 1. The majority of BTech programmes cost less than INR 3 Lakh. 2. The Engineering Department at JNU consists of graduates of prestigious universities such as the IITs, NITs, and IISc. 3. Its curriculum is on par with that of top engineering schools in terms of quality. 4. The curriculum is varied and comparable to that taught at the best NITs and IITs. 5. It has excellent infrastructure, including well-equipped computer labs. 6. JNU BTech graduates typically receive a salary package of around INR 6 LPA. Some issues are also there, such as: 1. The Humanities programs at JNU are better known. 2. There is currently no separate structure for Engineering courses. 3. There aren't many cultural events at Engineering schools.

Absolutely satisfied with my decision of choosing this college.
Placements: The School of Engineering at JNU was established in 2018, and hence its first batch passed out very recently, with an average package of around 11 LPA, the highest being 16 LPA on campus and 33 LPA off-campus. Many big companies like Byju's, Amdocs, Wipro, and IBM visited the campus during the placement season. The placement scenario is expected to improve as more batches pass out.
Infrastructure: Currently, we have two buildings for SOE—one is for administrative purposes and computer labs, and the other is the Engineering Lecture Complex (ELC) where classes take place. Wi-Fi is available 24/7. There are multiple canteens on the JNU campus with decent food quality. There is an entire sports complex in the JNU premises, offering one the opportunity to explore different sports. In fact, a new building for the engineering division is under construction, which is expected to be fully constructed by 2026.
Faculty: The curriculum here is interdisciplinary, allowing you to learn technical and personality skills simultaneously, boosting the students' communication skills and hence making them industry-ready. The faculty is very helpful and friendly; you can consult them anytime with your doubts, and they are ready to help. The semester exams are like those in any other engineering college, where you can get good grades if you study well or vice versa.
Other: I have always wanted to do engineering, and studying at a prestigious university like JNU is itself a big opportunity. Our college hosts all sorts of fests, including technical fests like EngQuest, HackJNU, etc., and cultural fests like Udbhav, and so on. The college also offers financial concessions to students in certain income brackets. JNU has a lot to offer, and at the end of the day, one will never regret the choice of being a JNUite, as it boosts one's personality on so many levels.

I am very proud of my college and university and would love to see JNU achieve its lost glory again.
Placements: The placements are pretty average but we have seen growth in recent times. The alumni network of the SCSS school, which provides one of the best MCA courses in the whole of India, is pretty strong and helps us BTech students too. Along with that, the supporting seniors are great and the environment is great to explore different fields, especially with the 0 attendance policy.
Infrastructure: We still don't have our building made and are working on the building of SCSS but the construction work has started and we hope to see growth soon. The labs are quite good and the hostel provides the best they can at the boarding charges of 10 rupees per month.
Faculty: The faculty is top-notch, thanks to the brand name of JNU and are very supportive. The 0 attendance policy is a big positive and we as students are allowed to explore different fields, along with optional ones from different schools like international relations and languages.

Big campus, vibrant life, and great exposure from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Placements: Almost 75% of students got placed last year. In them, one person got 33 lakh per annum, and some of the guys got 16 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Infosys ,TCS ,Amazon , etc. Almost 95%of the students got internships last year because most of the people belong to ECE and CSE.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are too good because in every hostel they will provide balconies, mess food is too good, and coming to infrastructure, it is quite good, not bad because it was an old campus, right. And coming to sports facilities, too many sports will be available; whatever you want, you can choose.
Faculty: On coming to teachers, excellent staff because they are highly educated from top universities, NITs , IIITs, so we can get a lot of knowledge from them. Coming to the course curriculum, it was also nice because they are providing only CSE and ECE, so placements will be good. Coming to the difficulty of exams, it is not much difficult, and the pass percentage is 35%.
Other: Choosing this college is only because of the branch, that is, ECE, because it has a lot of scope in the future. After our graduation, we can choose what side we want, whether software or hardware. Coming to fests, it is too good and there are too many fests. Scholarships are also provided.

Absolutely satisfied with the campus life, good placements in 2022, and exposure.
Placements: Around 56% of students were placed in the corporate sector from the last passout batch, as around 29% opted for higher studies, 11% went for the government sector and the rest for start-ups. The average package is 11 LPA, the highest on-campus is 16 LPA, and the highest off-campus is 33 LPA.
Infrastructure: 24x7 wifi is available everywhere on the campus. Labs are good. Classrooms are spacious and are air conditioned. The library is one of the best. The hostel fee is very low. The rooms are decent, food is average, canteens are good, and medical and sports are some of the best.
Faculty: Yes, the professors are really very helpful; the majority of them have their PhDs from reputed institutes. There are frequent industry visits and the course curriculum is frequently updated. The semester exams are not that tough; only 4 to 5 % fail in those.
Other: Well, at my rank, I wasn't getting EC in any NIT, so I thought, why not JNU? It has the best campus life. It has almost everything I can dream of, or one aspires to from a college, from freedom to a large campus to diversity and closeness to nature. JNU doesn't have fests, but there are events regularly organized by student unions or political organizations.

Our college placements are good.
Placements: Placements of the first batch started this year. Some of our seniors are going to off-campus placements and on-campus placements which started recently. The average salary package offered is 10 LPA and many more. Companies have started to come to our campus.
Infrastructure: All facilities are inexpensive and they are far too good for first and second-year students. Hostel fees are quite low, and mess fees are the same everywhere. There are many hotels and canteens available on our campus and they are open 24X7. The library is too large and good.
Faculty: Most teachers are from IIT Delhi. Some of them make hard paper that is difficult to pass, like signals and systems, DSP, etc. Other teachers are good. There is no problem with attendance. You have an opportunity to improve your skills in coding, etc.
Other: Most of the time, you are engaged in social presence. At our university, various festivals and cultural programs are taking place at various schools. There are so many schools available so collaboration courses are running. The equipment in the lab is only a problem.
