RRB Group D 2023: Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will soon release RRB Group D 2023 notification to fill up vacancies for various level-1 posts such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant in various technical departments (Electrical, Mechanical, and S&T departments), Pointsman, etc. in the various production units of Indian Railways. The application form will begin after the release of RRB Group D notification 2023. Interested candidates need to apply online for the exam. The selection process of RRB Group D comprises Computer Based Test, PET, Document Verification/Medical Exam and Final Empanellment. RRB Group D Eligibility 2023

To apply for RRB Group D exam, candidates need to fulfil the different paramters of eligibility such as nationality, age limit, educational qualification and medical standards. RRB Group D eligibility 2023 is explained below:

RRB Group D Eligibility: Nationality

A candidate who is:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee permanently settled in India from and before January 1, 1962.
  • A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zaire, Zambia, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) presents a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India to the recruiting body.

RRB Group D Age Limit

RRB Group D age limit is 18 to 33 years. The relaxation in the age limit given to different reserved categories is provided below.

RRB Group D Qualification

Candidates who have passed Class 10 pass plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by National Council for Vocational Training or Class 10 pass plus ITI are eligible to apply for RRB Group D exam.

RRB Group D Medical Standards

The medical standards and visual acuity prescribed for RRB Group D exam are given below.

Near vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 without glasses and must pass tests for colour vision, binocular vision, night vision, mesopic vision, etc

Near vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses and must pass the test for colour vision, binocular vision, night vision, myopic vision, etc.

RRB Group D 2023 Apply Online

RRB Group D application form 2023 will be released online. The fee can be paid both online and offline. The application fee is INR 500 (for all candidates except the fee concession categories). The fee for PwBD/Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen/SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class is INR 250.

How to Fill RRB Group D Application Form 2023?

The steps to fill RRB Group D application form 2023 are given below:

  • Visit the official websites of RRBs
  • Register for the exam by submitting details such as name, date of birth and father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar Number, SSLC/Matric registration number, year of passing, mobile number, email ID, and then submit the registration form
  • Upon registration, candidates need to verify email ID and mobile number through OTP
  • Candidates should proceed with the online application by clicking on the ‘Already Registered’ button on the home page using the registration number and password
  • In Part I of the application page, candidates need to provide the details of educational qualification, community, gender, religion, Ex-Servicemen, CCAA, Minority, Economically Backward Class and Age Relaxation and other details
  • In Part II of the application page, candidates need to indicate his/her priority/preference of the posts
  • On completion of application details, candidates can pay the application fees using online net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI and offline Challan
  • Candidates are required to choose the exam language
  • Candidates had to fill the details of a valid photo ID card
  • Enter bank details to get the refund of fees
  • Candidates need to upload their scanned images of photograph and signature as per the format
  • SC/ST candidates are required to upload the category certificates
  • Candidates had to agree to the terms and conditions and submit the application form

RRB Group D Fee Refund

The application fee is refunded once candidates appear for the CBT exam. Candidates belonging to SC / ST/ ExSM/ PwBD/ Female/ Minority/EBC/Transgender categories are entitled to get a full refund of their examination fees, which is INR 250. Whereas candidates belonging to General/EWS/OBC categories receive a partial refund of their examination fees, which is INR 400 after deducting the bank charges.

RRB Group D Application Status

RRB Group D application status is released after the completion of the application process. To check the application status, candidates need to enter registration number/date of birth and security code. Through RRB Group D application status, candidates can view the eligibility/ineligibility status of their applications.

RRB Group D Admit Card 2023

RRB Group D admit card 2023 is released four days before the exam separately for CBT, PET and document verification. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter user ID and password. RRB Group D admit card is an important document without candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam. Candidates need to carry the printed copy of the admit card along with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre. Prior to the release of admit card, exam city intimation slip is released. In the city intimation slip, candidates can check their allotted exam city. The details regarding the RRB Group D exam centre are mentioned on the admit card.

RRB Group D exam pattern highlights the overall structure of the exam such as marking scheme, total marks, number of section, time duration, etc. The stage-wise RRB Group D exam pattern is explained below:

RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2023 for CBT

RRB Group D exam pattern for CBT is divided into four sections: General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness and Current Affairs. The total duration of the test is 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied by the scribe). The test paper comprises a total of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions. RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2023 for PET

Candidates three times the number of vacancies are called for PET. The PET comprises different physical activities for male and female candidates. PET is qualifying in nature.

Male candidates Female candidates

Candidates should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in two minutes without putting down the weight

Female candidates should be able to lift and carry 20 kgs of weight for a distance of 100 meters in two minutes without putting down the weight

Candidates should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in four minutes and 15 seconds in one chance

Candidates should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in five minutes and 40 seconds in one chance

RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2023 for DV/Medical Exam

Candidates equal to the number of vacancies are called for document verification. During the document verification, the certificates uploaded by the candidates during the application process are verified to ensure its correctness. Candidates successful in document verification are sent for medical examination. In medical exam, visual acuity plays an important role. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing the requisite medical fitness by the railway administration, final verification of education, community certificates, and verification of antecedents/character certificates.
