UGC NET 2024 History Question Paper: The NTA is conducting the UGC NET 2024 History paper for the June session on August 29, 2024. National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the UGC NET exams for 83 subjects in different categories. Candidates can check below the detailed analysis of August 29 exam. UGC NET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates to become Assistant Professors in Indian Universities as well as to award JRF to candidates who want to apply for Research work in their respective subjects. UGC NET exam is one of the most sought exams in India and the difficulty level of the exam is moderately difficult in nature.

Q:   How many questions are asked in UGC NET Paper 1 exam?

UGC NET Paper-1 consists of 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying 2 marks. The total marks for Paper-1 are 100. The questions in Paper-1 are designed to test the teaching and research aptitude, reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness of the candidate. The questions in Paper-1 are divided into ten sections, with each section containing five questions. Q:   How many question are asked in UGC NET Paper 2 exam?

A:
UGC NET Paper-2 consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying 2 marks. The total marks for Paper-2 are 200. The questions in Paper-2 are based on the subject selected by the candidate. The UGC NET syllabus for Paper-2 is different for each subject, and the questions are designed to test the subject-specific knowledge and expertise of the candidate. The questions in Paper-2 are divided into two parts - Part A and Part B. Part A contains 10 questions, each carrying 2 marks, and is designed to test the reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness of the candidate. UGC NET 2024 History Question Paper & Analysis

Candidates can check the analysis of Paper 2 history conducted in Shift 1 on August 29. 

The overall difficulty level of the history (Paper 2 Shift 1) is moderate. Topics asked were from Ancient, Medieval and Modern History. Total questions asked were 100 and number of good attempts were 70 to 73 as per the student responses.

The NTA released the question paper along with the release of the UGC NET provisional answer key and response sheet on the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Q:   Can I take the UGC NET question paper home after the exam?

No, candidates are not allowed to take the UGC NET question paper or any other exam-related material outside the examination hall after the Computer Based Test (CBT) is over. The UGC NET question paper is the property of the National Testing Agency NTA and it is not meant to be shared or circulated. However, candidates are allowed to take a printout of the questions and their responses which is released by the NTA along with the provisional answer key. The 'Response Sheet', contains the questions that were asked in the exam along with the responses marked by the candidate. The Response Sheet can be used by the candidates to evaluate their performance and identify their mistakes. Candidates are advised to keep the Response Sheet safe for future reference. It is also important to note that the original response sheet remains with the NTA and it is used for the purpose of evaluation and preparation of the result. Therefore, candidates should not attempt to take the UGC NET question paper or any other exam-related material outside the examination hall to avoid any disqualification or other consequences.
