West Bengal HS exams 2025 are likely to be held between February 16 and 29, 2025. The timings of the exams are from 9:45 am till 1:00 pm.

Before starting the exam preparation, students should check and understand the complete WB HS exam pattern 2025. Students also need to download the West Bengal 12th syllabus and start the exam preparation based on that.
Subjects Discontinued - Due to the low rate of registration, the Board has discontinued various subjects such as Punjabi, Gujarati and French. Meanwhile, multiple vocational subjects have been added in WBCHSE Class 12 syllabus. The new subjects introduced under WB HS Syllabus 2025 are banking financial services and insurance, food processing and telecom. Applied artificial intelligence, cyber security and science of well being have been introduced.

Changes in marking scheme - The Board has also revised the marks structure of health and physical education, music and visual arts. The theory component of health and family education has been increased from 40 to 70. Now, the practical component of the subject will be of 30 percent weightage. For music and visual arts, the theory and practical marks will be 50 marks each.
Subject name and code changed - The West Bengal Board has also changed the names of subjects and their codes. The home management and family resource (HMFR) will now be called the human development and resource management (HDRM). While agronomy (AGNM) has been remanded as agriculture (AGRI), the health and physical education (PHED) will be called the same but the code for it, is changed to HPED.

WB HS Result 2025 - Qualifying Marks
Students can check the qualifying/passing marks of West Bengal 12th exam 2025 as under,
- Overall a minimum of 30% marks is required by the students to qualify for the exam.
- All students will have to score at least 30 marks out of 100 marks in each subject to get a passing grade.
