Q:   Can I get my UGC NET exam centre changed after the issue of the admit card?

A:
No, it is not possible to change the UGC NET exam center after the issue of the admit card. The exam center is allotted based on the preferences provided by the candidate at the time of filling the application form, and the UGC NET admit card contains the details of the exam center allotted to the candidate. Once the admit card is issued, the exam center cannot be changed under any circumstances. Candidates are required to appear for the exam at the allotted exam center as mentioned on their admit card. Any deviation from this will result in disqualification from the exam. Therefore, it is advisable to carefully select the exam center while filling the application form and double-check the details mentioned on the admit card before the exam day to avoid any last-minute issues or confusion. In case you face any difficulties regarding the exam center, you can contact the UGC NET helpdesk for assistance.

Q:   What is the difference between UGC NET city slip and admit card?

A:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the advance city intimation slip before the release of the UGC NET admit card on the offcial websit. As the UGC NET exam is carried out pan India and sometimes the UGC NET centre is allotted far away from the candidate's residential address. Therefore by releasing the UGC NET city slip,   the NTA gives chance to make necessary arrangements like travelling, accomodation etc.

On the other hand, the UGC NET admit card is a hall ticket for the candidates who are going to appear in the UGC NET exam. The admit card comprises the exam cente address, shift timing. The admit card is released a few days before the exam day.  The candidates are not allowed to the exam hall if they don't have the UGC NET admit card whereas the city slip is not required for the UGC NET exam.

  • Now, enter the login credentials like application number and date of birth.
  • The UGC NET Admit Card 2022 will be displayed on the screen.
