A: 

The 2024 cutoff ranks for BTech +M.Techin Information Technology at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University other than the General category are - 198167 for SC, 346824 for ST and 45444 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut-offs also change a lot depending on the All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

A: 

During GGSIPU Engineering placements in 2022, the highest and average package offered was INR 45 LPA and INR 12 LPA, respectively. In addition, more than 370 offers were made and 70 companies visited the campus during IPU Engineering placements 2022. The top recruiters of GGSIPU in 2022 included leading companies such as Adobe, Amazon and Rapido. Q:   What is the JEE Mains cutoff for BTech + M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering at GGSIPU?

In 2022, cut off was 15339 for the General category candidates in All India quota for BTech + M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Q:   How can I get admission to GGSIPU for BTech?

A: 

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University BTech admission is based on a valid JEE Main score. For GGSIPU admission to BTech in Biotechnology, a candidate has to appear for IPU CET or CUET. The BTech course is the university's flagship programme, which is spread across four years, comprising eight semesters. The final selection of the IPU BTech course is carried out through a centralised counselling process. GGSIPU admission to other UG courses such as BSc, BCA, BCom (Hons), B.Ed, BA (JMC), BHMCT, BBA, BA (Hons) and BVoc, among others is based on a valid IPU CET score, conducted by the University. 

Q:   Can I get admission to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in BTech +M.TechCSE if my rank is between 15000 and 20000?

A: 

For last year, the closing rank for BTech +M.Techin Computer Science Engineering was 15339 which is very close to this range. This was for the general category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut-offs keep changing year on year, it's advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

No, the university does not offer direct admissions. IP University does not allow any of the affiliated colleges/institutes/agency to grant direct admission to any of the course of the university. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is a state university. It is the first university established in 1998 by the Government of NCT of Delhi. GGSIPU is recognised by UGC. The teaching-cum-affiliating university has been accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC. Q:   Is IPU admission open?

Some of the important events related to IPU admissions are mentioned below:

  • The CLAT 2025 admit card has been released for admission to 5-year Integrated LLB (UG) and one-year LLM (PG) courses. Registered candidates can log in and download their admit cards through the official website. The CLAT 2025 exam will be scheduled on Dec 1, 2024.
  • NEET UG counselling 2024 Special Stray Vacancy Round final seat allotment result for admission to the MBBS/BDS/BSc (Nursing) courses has been released. Candidates can log in and view their results by visiting the official website. The selected candidates have to report to the allocated colleges till Nov 30, 2024.
  • The GATE 2025 registration process with late fee is closed now for admission to the MTech course. The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.

Q:   Can we get admission to IPU through CUET?

A: 

Yes, GGSIPU accepts CUET scores. For UG courses, CUET-UG and similarly for the PG courses, CUET-PG is applicable. However, it must be noted that preference is given to CUET scores after the respective national-level exams and the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the university. Some of the UG and PG programmes for which this entrance score is accepted are MCA, MA, BSc, BBA and allied programmes, BPharm, BCom (Hons), etc.

Q:   Does GGSIPU have an entrance exam?

A: 

Yes, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to BSc, BCA, BCom (Hons), B.Ed, BA (JMC), BHMCT, BBA, BA (Hons), BVoc, BPT, BPO, BOT, BASLP, BSc MLT, MSc, MA, MEd, MPT, MOT and MPO courses. IPU CET exam 2025 application forms for other courses, open tentatively in March every year. Apart from conducting IPU CET, GGSIPU also accepts several national-level entrance exams to provide admission to a few undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses.

Yes, you have to participate in LE. B.Tech (Diploma) entrance exam (CET code no. 128) for taking B.Tech lateral admissions in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and its affiliated colleges.

Hi, Lateral entries are for Diploma holders and not for B.Tech 1st year students,so you cannot write the exam. As far as college swapping is concerned you can switch colleges under the same university if you have some legit reasons but the chances are very slim.
