Really good college and nice crowd. Only the top students of the country get admission here.
Placements: Almost 90% of the students were placed. The highest package was above 1 crore, and the lowest was around 10 lacs. Companies that came for placements were Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, and many more core and non-core companies. The percentage of students getting internships was also high, about 80%. The roles offered were in tech, the core chemical field, consulting, analyst positions, etc.
Infrastructure: IITs have top-notch facilities and infrastructure. Chemical labs are equipped with the latest technologies, apparatuses, and equipment. The library is open for about 20 hours and is also equipped with Wi-Fi. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is excellent. The sports facilities lack a bit; the fields are very crowded.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and have years of experience in their fields. They are very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is not so good, as teachers can't explain everything. The course curriculum is very relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are very difficult, and the pass percentage is around 98%.

Review of IIT Delhi, B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
Placements: Our batch has not experienced the placement session, but the placement percentage is around 90%. As per observation, placement offers are less than previous years, but there has been an increase in internship offers, especially in our batch. There is a significant increase in the number of internships offered.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of hostel is very average. Building is very old and not very clean. There is no availability of handwash in washrooms. Hostel and mess fees are low. The mess food is also average but edible. Course infrastructure is quite good.
Faculty: Course curriculum is quite relevant, and gives you space and time to invest in some other passion of an individual. Faculty members of Chemical Engineering department are very diverse, helpful, and lenient whereas on the other hand, some are very rude and strict. Most of them are very good at what they teach.
Other: This place is really popular. I would recommend IIT Bombay if someone is a bit soft-spoken. But if they are confident, they are most welcome. It's a great experience being here. Campus life has its good and bad times. Overall, it's good when someone is clear-minded.

IIT Delhi stands out as the best among other IITs.
Placements: Around 70 to 85 percent of students are placed every year. The highest package is approximately 65 LPA, while the lowest package is around 6 LPA. Companies like Indian Oil, Indian Gas, etc. visit the campus, but most students are placed in teaching roles. The internship offers are also commendable.
Infrastructure: The facilities at IIT Delhi are quite satisfactory, but the infrastructure leaves much to be desired. The old hostels accommodate three students per room, and the quality of routine food is subpar. Additionally, the Wi-Fi speed is very slow. However, the medical facilities are commendable.
Faculty: The teaching staff at IIT Delhi are graduates from some of the best universities. The curriculum is robust, but the semester exam papers are extremely challenging. This has led to students feeling overwhelmed, with some even contemplating suicide. It is a humble request to reconsider the exam pattern.
Other: I chose the Chemical Engineering department at IIT Delhi because it is one of the branches I am passionate about. Additionally, the placement opportunities at IIT Delhi are excellent, which influenced my decision.

Good facilities, excellent placements.
Placements: In 2023, around 61 out of 67 students that registered for placement from B. Tech in Chemical Engineering (4 years) got placed, which is around 92% of the total registered. Top recruiters include ONGC, Bharat Petroleum, Reliance Industries, Aditya Birla, and Honeywell. The average package was around 20L CTC, the highest around 40L (for core jobs), and the lowest around 10L. Most of the students go for non-core jobs by doing a minor degree in Computer Science along with their main degree for a higher salary. Some students also got into research. Top roles offered in the core jobs include Chemical Plant Manager, Process Engineer, and Petrochemical Engineer. The internship scenario is also very good, as almost every student has done at least one internship by the end of their 3rd year.
Infrastructure: The hostel rooms are bad. For 1st year, you either get a triple-sharing room or a double-sharing room. The one I have gotten in my first year is the triple-sharing one. It has 2 big almirahs, 2 mirrors, 2 small almirahs, 2 cupboards, 2 fans, and three beds. The food in the mess is quite good, but sometimes they mess up with the taste. There is a hospital on campus where students can go for check-ups without any charges by showing the medical booklet provided by the institute. There are many facilities available for sports and online games too. The library is open from 8 am to 3 am the next day on weekdays, 10 am to 6 pm on weekends and holidays, and 24 hrs during examination days.
Faculty: In the 1st year, the courses done by students of each department are the same. So, I don't know much about the teachers in the Chemical Engineering department, but as I have heard from seniors, they are the ones that take most surprise quizzes. The marks distribution can vary from course to course depending on the professor and the type of course. Some courses may have the majority of marks through surprise quizzes and assignments, while others may only have assignments.

The dream college - IIT Delhi.
Placements: My college offers top-notch placements, with maximum packages reaching 4 crore in international companies like Jane Street, Amazon, and Microsoft. The average package is around 20L and varies by branch; for instance, CS has the highest average package of approximately 30 lakhs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is excellent, with three lecture halls and two additional halls for classes and labs. The labs are high-tech and well-equipped, and professors teach lab work efficiently, making the experiments very useful.
Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified and supportive. They are very helpful with our studies, especially during exams. The curriculum is well-structured, focusing more on practical knowledge than theoretical learning.
Other: The events are diverse, with various fests and tech events. The cultural fest, Rendezvous, is well-organized, and the tech fest, Trust, attracts a huge crowd every year.
