Really good college and nice crowd. Only the top students of the country get admission here.
Placements: Almost 90% of the students were placed. The highest package was above 1 crore, and the lowest was around 10 lacs. Companies that came for placements were Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, and many more core and non-core companies. The percentage of students getting internships was also high, about 80%. The roles offered were in tech, the core chemical field, consulting, analyst positions, etc.
Infrastructure: IITs have top-notch facilities and infrastructure. Chemical labs are equipped with the latest technologies, apparatuses, and equipment. The library is open for about 20 hours and is also equipped with Wi-Fi. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is excellent. The sports facilities lack a bit; the fields are very crowded.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and have years of experience in their fields. They are very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is not so good, as teachers can't explain everything. The course curriculum is very relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are very difficult, and the pass percentage is around 98%.

If we talk about the placement, infrastructure, campus life, and exposure, everything is top-notch.
Placements: Almost 100% of students get placed if they sit in placement, but sometimes most of the students go for higher studies and some of them for government services. Many students get high placement, but as of now, 3-4 students from my batch got more than 30 LPA, and the lowest is 8 LPA. All recruiting companies are not from the core; some were in a tech background, some were in consulting, and some in core like BPCL. About 20-30% of the total strength got an internship in various companies, as the placement I mentioned above the company.
Infrastructure: Hostel buildings you will find old but well-maintained with good facilities. Everything is good here, like you will get free washing machines to all sports courts like badminton, volleyball, and basketball and a gym too. You will have great food in the mess at an affordable price.
Faculty: IIT is known for top-class and highly qualified faculty members. Course programs are absolutely relevant. Yes, it's difficult if we talk about the semester exams; you have to secure 30% to pass the exams, but scoring 30 percent is not easy.
Other: I was interested in the government sector, so I chose civil engineering here instead of computer science in another IIT.

Infrastructure: IIT Delhi's hostel infrastructure is in dire need of an upgrade. Many of the hostels are over 60 years old, and have seen minimal renovation or upgrades in recent years. A modern update would greatly improve the overall living experience. The IITD hospital also has its limitations, with a shortage of well-qualified doctors and outdated facilities. This can make it challenging for students to receive quality medical care on campus. On a positive note, the library stands out as a valuable resource, offering a well-organized, quiet space for study, with a wide range of academic resources and materials that effectively support the academic needs of students.
Faculty: IIT Delhi's Textile Engineering department has highly qualified, knowledgeable, and committed professors. They make complex topics understandable and help students develop technical skills and analytical thinking. However, the administration, including certain deans and the academic body, can be difficult to deal with. Their strict policies and rigid grading practices can be stressful and affect students' CGPA outcome. Students may feel that there is less flexibility and support for their well-being and academic growth.

I loved doing my M.Tech at IIT Delhi.
Placements: IIT Delhi is one of the top IITs so it has a very good placement percentage and good salary packages offered. The percentage of students got placed is around 96%. The highest salary package offered is around 45 LPA, and the average salary package offered is around 20 LPA in our course. Usually, students who do M.Tech don't need any internships but we have a complete chance to do internships. Students who are pursuing engineering get 100% internships. Many recruiting companies visit campus for placements. It's a student's decision to decide which type of company or stream he is interested in. Generally, top companies which visit our campus are Google, Microsoft, Intel, Qualcomm, TCS, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided to students are very good and make students' campus life more smooth and happy. Classrooms and library are fully air-conditioned. Labs are well equipped with all necessary things. Wi-Fi is available across the campus and readily available for students. Hostels are not up to the mark and could need a little improvement. Mess food could be tastier, but it is acceptable for now. Good food is served in the canteen and other outlets on campus and the price charged in the outlets is also very reasonable too. Medical building on campus is always staffed with nurses and general surgeons to treat students. Campus has a good number of sports and games courts in it.
Faculty: Faculty here are highly educated and hold a Ph.D. or M.Tech degree in their respective course. They teach well in an understandable way to students. Faculty members are very kind and friendly with students. They always ensure that all the needs of students are fulfilled and make sure that students have no difficulties in completing courses. Course is designed in a good way by their respective professors. Semester exams are also given in a simple way so that a student with minimum hardwork and time with the course can complete and clear the semester exams without any difficulties. The minimum percentage required for a student to clear the course is 30%, and the pass CGPA is 5.
Other: I'm very interested in learning more about the environment, which is why I chose this course. The best part of this course is it has all the detailed information about environment and nature. Course doesn't need any improvement or changes. Campus life is great, similar to the experience at most IITs, including IIT Delhi. We have many fests and events which take place on campus. We have an opportunity to play all types of sports and games whenever we are free. We can also take part in competitions which are held in other colleges. Campus has a very good and eco-friendly environment. Connectivity for the campus is really good and there will be free education (scholarships) for students whose family income is low. So finally campus encourages students in both curricular and extracurricular activities.

IITD is one of the great experiences for my educational journey.
Placements: In our last batch, around 14 students were placed. The highest salary package was 14 LPA, and the lowest salary package was 6 LPA. EdTech company was highly interested in our batch. Internships offered were in research field. Course will prepare students more for tech side as compared to teaching side.
Infrastructure: Our department has its own library, which is well-stocked for students. Hostel provides a great environment and good quality. They provide students best quality food with varieties. Medical facilities are free. Our department conducts sports day two times a year.
Faculty: Teachers have great knowledge and they are supportive. All professors have foreign education. Our course provides opportunities for extracurricular aspects. Exams are not that hectic. Pass percentage is 30%.
Other: I chose this course to gain knowledge in mathematics. Faculty have a great alumni network. The course focuses more on research than teaching. This needs to change. Fests conducted here are awesome. It is one of the best in South Asia. They even had Bill Gates visited for the inauguration last time. Scholarships are provided to students from low economical background. We have a great network here for exploring.

Absolutely dissatisfied.
Placements: Placement Percentage: 85% of students were placed. Salary Packages: Highest: 35 LPA Lowest: 6 LPA Average: 12 LPA Top Recruiting Companies: Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro, Bosch, Maruti Suzuki, and Mahindra. Internship Stats: 70% secured internships in companies like ISRO, BHEL, DRDO, and Tata Motors. Top Roles Offered: Operations Manager, Supply Chain Analyst, Quality Engineer, and Manufacturing Consultant. Negative Aspects of Production and Industrial at IIT Delhi (fictional): Limited focus on modern technologies, outdated curriculum in parts, and fewer research opportunities compared to CS or ECE. Students often find the coursework theoretical with less industry-aligned practical exposure.
Infrastructure: Facilities and Infrastructure for the Course/Department: Wi-Fi: High-speed campus-wide Wi-Fi access, including in classrooms and labs. Labs: Well-equipped labs with modern machinery for manufacturing, CAD/CAM, automation, and quality control. Classrooms: Smart classrooms with projectors, air-conditioning, and ergonomic seating. Library: A central library with a vast collection of course materials, research papers, and digital resources. Hostel and Campus Facilities: Hostel Quality: Decent rooms with good ventilation, regular cleaning, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Mess and Canteen: Mess food is average with a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, though repetitive. Canteens offer better variety and taste but at a higher cost. Medical Facilities: A 24/7 health center with doctors on call, a pharmacy, and ambulance services. Sports and Games: State-of-the-art sports complexes for indoor and outdoor games, including cricket, football, badminton, gymnasium, and swimming pool.
Faculty: Teaching Quality: While the teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, many fail to engage students effectively. Some rely on outdated teaching methods, making lectures monotonous and theoretical, with limited practical insights. Course Curriculum: The curriculum lacks updates to align with industry demands, focusing heavily on traditional topics. Emerging technologies like AI, IoT, and sustainability are either missing or poorly integrated, leaving students underprepared for modern industrial roles. Semester Exams: Exams are moderately difficult, but the focus is more on rote learning than critical thinking or problem-solving. This approach often frustrates students who aim for industry-relevant skills. The pass percentage hovers around 85%, with many barely scraping through due to poorly designed assessments.
Other: That was the best course I was getting. I am trying to change course. Initially, events were good. The fest was boring, tbh. Regarding campus crowd, you will find many people of different types. Just choose the correct peer group. Campus surroundings (air is polluted). Scholarship is only for those with income less than 5 Lacs. Extracurricular activities are only for CV. If you are not good, you won't be selected.

A:
Yes, IIT Delhi offers adequate hostel facilities for all students. The hostel at IIT Delhi was built in the 1960s. And, they're managed well to date. The room for the first year's B.Tech is a 3-seater (which was two-seater earlier). In some hostels, there are two-seater rooms too (as there are 13 hostels with different maps and infrastructure). The rooms are less spacious if you and your roommates wish to stay in the room all the time (it doesn't happen though). Below mentioned is a review of the IIT Delhi hostel facilities, as per a recent graduate: "There are 3 beds on which many people sleep (mostly 5+ at exam times). There are 3 tables, 3 chairs and 2 almirahs with four slots each. There are two LAN ports for 3 people. You manage it as there is a Wi-Fi facility too. Also, in a room, there are two fans, two tube lights and four electricity boards."
