NIOS 10th Registration 2025: The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) started the registration process for the NIOS 10th public exam April May 2025. Students appearing for NIOS 10th exam 2025 April/May are required to pay the exam fees through the official website, nios.ac.in.

Students could do registration without late fee from Nov 21 to Dec 20 2024. With late fee of Rs 150 per subject, they could do registration from Dec 21, 2024 to Dec 31, 2024. With consolidated late fee of Rs 1,600 per learner, registration can be done from Jan 1 to Jan 10, 2025.

The NIOS admits students of Class 10 in two cycles. All eligible students can register themselves through the official NIOS website. 

The NIOS 10th registration 2025 will be conducted in 3 streams. The streams are as follows:

  • Stream 1: For Secondary course learners
  • Stream 2: For students who failed in the exam conducted by recognised boards
  • Stream 3: NIOS On-demand 10th exam

For NIOS 10th registration 2025, students will have to visit the official website and register themselves, make the payment and save the application for reference.

The NIOS Admissions for classes 10th and 12th usually happen on the same dates all year round. The dates for the current academic year are as follows:

The NIOS admissions take place twice a year, Block-I in April, while the Block-II admissions take place in October, every year. The dates usually remain the same every year.

NIOS 2024 Admission- Eligibility Criteria

Students who fulfill the NIOS eligibility criteria can apply for NIOS Class 10 2025 admission. Here are the eligibility conditions of online NIOS admission:

Age Limit 

The minimum age limit for NIOS 10th admission is 14 years. Candidate should have a valid proof of attaining 14 years of age can apply for registration to the Secondary Course.

Minimum Education

He/she must have cleared class 8 from the recognised board or must possess enough knowledge to sit for the class 10 exam. The candidate who gives a self certificate stating that "I have studied and able to pursue the secondary course" is also eligible for admission to the Secondary Course. The learner who had studied the Secondary level can also seek admission in NIOS either to complete his course or to improve his performance.

NIOS 10th Admission 2025: How to Apply

All the aspirants must follow the steps mentioned below to register for NIOS:

  1. Visit the admission portal of NIOS- sdmis.nios.ac.in/
  2. Read all the instructions carefully
  3. Click on 'Register'.
  4. Fill in all the details as required.
  5. Upload all the supporting documents.
  6. Pay the required fee.
  7. Save your form for future references.

NIOS 10th Admissions: Documents Required

  • Recent Passport size coloured photograph
  • Signature (preferably in Black Ink)
  • Valid identity proof (like Aadhaar Card or Passport or Ration card or etc.)
  • Valid proof of Date of Birth (like Aadhaar Card with the date of birth printed on it in the dd/mm/yyyy format, Birth Certificate etc.)
  • A valid proof of Residence (like Aadhaar Card with complete address printed on it, valid Passport etc.).
  • Address proof i.e. Aadhaar Card/Water Bill/Electricity Bill/Voter ID/Ration Card/Indian
  • Passport/Statement of Operational Bank Account/Appointment Letter from the Employer on Printed Letter Head, if living in rented accommodation - a copy of any proof of permanent address along with present Rented Agreement
  • Class 10th marksheet (in case of senior secondary course)
  • Social category/Caste certificate (in case the learner belongs to SC/ST/OBC social category).o Ex-serviceman certificate (in case he/she is an Ex-serviceman)
  • Disability certificate (in case he/she is having any kind of disability)
  • Fail Mark sheet of previous Board, if any.

Q:   What is the last date for NIOS 10th admission 2023?

A:

Block I students can take admission from March 16 to July 31 without late fees. From August 1 to August 15, the students have to pay a late fees of INR 200. They can apply with a late fee of INR 400 from August 16 to August 31. The final date for Block I admission is September 1 to September 15 with late fees of INR 700. These students will be able to appear for the exam in the upcoming year April-May. The final date for Block II admission is March 1 to March 15 with late fees of INR 700.

Yes, NIOS 10th exams 2025 will be based on 100% syllabus. Students must finish with their syllabus and know the exam pattern well at least a month prior to the exam. This way they'll be better prepared for the exams. The NIOS board has released the NIOS 10th syllabus on the official website.

In case of any errors in NIOS 10th admit card 2025, students must report to the higher authorities. They should get it rectified as early as possible. Students are advised to verify the details in the NIOS 12th admit card. If errors are not corrected, they will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

No, you will not be allowed to write the NIOS 10th exam without the admit card. Hence, it is suggested that you remember to carry this document of utmost importance, otherwise you either be wasting your time to get it from home or will miss the exam and awarded zero in the subject.
