CSIR NET 2024 Life Science Question Paper Analysis (Shift 1 & 2)

CSIR NET 2024 Life Science Question Paper Analysis (Shift 1 & 2)

CSIR NET 2024 Analysis for Life Science OUT: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the CSIR NET 2024 Life Science Exam on July 26, 2024. Both the shifts are over. Analysis is an important part of the examination as it provides information regarding the difficulty level of the examination, the question paper, the topics asked in the exam, etc. Candidates can predict, regarding the cutoff, whether it will rise or drop. The total number of questions asked in the exam was 145, and candidates needed to attempt 75 questions. The CSIR NET 2024 Life Science Exam is divided into three parts, namely Part A, Part B, and Part C.

Q:   What type of questions are asked in CSIR NET exam?

A:
The CSIR NET (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test) exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) that assess the candidate's knowledge and understanding of their respective subject. The questions are designed to test the candidate's conceptual clarity, analytical ability, and reasoning skills. The questions are designed to cover various topics within the subject, and the difficulty level increases from Part A to Part C. Part A carries 20 marks, Part B carries 40 marks, and Part C carries 120 marks. The questions in Part C are designed to be more challenging and require the candidate to apply their knowledge and understanding of the subject to solve complex problems. Overall, the exam is designed to test the candidate's knowledge, understanding, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills in their respective subject.

Q:   Who sets CSIR NET question paper?

A:
The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Sets the CSIR NET (National Eligibility Test) question paper. CSIR is a premier scientific research organisation in India, and it conducts the CSIR NET exam to determine the eligibility of candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for appointment as Lecturers in various scientific disciplines. The CSIR NET question paper is designed by subject matter experts and scientists from different fields to assess the knowledge and understanding of the candidates in their respective disciplines.

Q:   How many questions are there in each part of the CSIR NET exam?

A:
The number of questions in each part of the CSIR NET (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test) exam varies depending on the subject. For subjects such as Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, and Mathematical Sciences, Part A comprises 20 questions, Part B comprises 40 questions, and Part C comprises 60 questions. For subjects such as Physical Sciences, Part A comprises 20 questions, Part B comprises 25 questions, and Part C comprises 30 questions. It's important to note that each question carries a specific weightage, which is mentioned in the question paper. Part A carries 20 marks (each question carrying 1 mark), Part B carries 40 marks (each question carrying 2 marks), and Part C carries 120 marks (each question carrying 2 or 4 marks). Therefore, it's essential to attempt all the questions carefully, as each question carries a certain weightage, and a wrong answer can lead to negative marking.

Q:   In which language questions are asked in the CSIR NET exam?

A:

The CSIR NET (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test) exam is conducted in English language only. The exam question papers, including all sections and subjects, are provided in English. It is important for candidates appearing for the CSIR NET exam to have a good understanding of the English language to comprehend and answer the questions effectively.

Q:   Does NTA release CSIR NET question papers?

A:
Yes, the National Testing Agency NTA releases the CSIR NET question paper. After the completion of the CSIR NET exam, the NTA typically releases the question papers along with the answer keys. This allows candidates to access the questions asked in the exam and compare their answers with the official answer keys. The release of the question papers by NTA is beneficial for candidates as it enables them to evaluate their performance, analyze their mistakes, and understand the exam pattern and difficulty level. It also provides an opportunity for candidates to review the questions they found challenging and further enhance their preparation for future exams or attempts. The CSIR NET question papers and answer keys are usually made available on the official website of NTA or the CSIR HRDG (Human Resource Development Group) portal. Candidates can access and download the question papers to aid their preparation and gain a better understanding of the exam structure and content.

Q:   How many papers are there in the CSIR NET Exam?

The CSIR NET Question Paper will be divided into three sections- Part A, B and C. Part 'A' shall be common to all subjects. This part shall be a test containing a maximum of 20 questions of General Aptitude. The candidates shall be required to answer any 15 questions for two marks each. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 30 out of 200. The CSIR NET Part B and C consist of questions that are based on the subjects chosen by candidates from the following five subjects - Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences.

Q:   What type of questions are asked in Part A of CSIR NET exam?
