RRB Technician Exam Analysis 2024

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are conducting RRB Technician 2024 exam. RRB Technician exam analysis 2024 will help candidates to know the section-wise and overall difficulty level of the exam. According to the students, the overall difficulty level of RRB Technician 2024 exam was moderate. The exam is being conducted in CBT mode. The question paper carries 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. As per the marking scheme, 1/3 marks are deducted for each question and one mark is awarded for correct answers. Candidates qualifying the CBT 1 exam are called for CBT 2 exam. All the sections of the exam- General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Basic of Computers and Applications, Mathematics and Basic Science and Engineering were moderate.

RRB Technician answer key carries the correct answers to the questions asked in the exam. The minimum qualifying marks for RRB ALP Technician exam for UR & EWS is 40 per cent, SC & OBC (NCL) is 30 per cent, and ST is 25 per cent. Read below for more details on RRB Technician exam analysis 2024.

RRB Technician exam pattern has been framed keeping in mind the nature of the posts. The exam pattern highlights the overall structure of the exam. RRB Technician exam pattern 2024 is given below.

Q:   What is RRB ALP exam pattern for CBT 1?

A:

RRB ALP exam pattern for CBT 1 comprises questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence, and Reasoning, General Science and General awareness on current affairs. The test paper carries a total of 75 objective-type multiple-choice questions. The total marks allotted to the test are 75. The duration of the test is 60 minutes. The score of first stage CBT is used to shortlist candidates for the second stage CBT. The first stage CBT is only to screen candidates for the second stage. 

Q:   What is RRB ALP exam pattern for CBAT?

A:

RRB ALP CBAT comprises several test batteries. Candidates are required to qualify each test batteries. The questions set in CBAT are in English and Hindi only. There is no negative marking in CBAT. To draw the merit list of ALP,  70 per cent weightage is given to Part A of second stage CBT and 30 per cent in CBAT.

Q:   What is RRB ALP marking scheme?

A:

CBT 1 will have 75 questions for 75 marks and the duration granted to resolve the questions is 60 minutes. 1/3rd ? marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in CBT 1. The CBT 2 will have two parts- Part A and B for 175 marks. 1/3rd? marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in CBT 2. The marks of candidates are calculated based on the correct and incorrect answers. Normalisation of marks is done to calculate the scores of candidates.

Ashwin said, "The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate. In Science, statement based questions were mostly asked. In GA, one question was asked from Goldman award."

Saurav said, "The overall difficulty level of the exam was good. I have attempted 80 questions. This was my first attempt. The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. However, some questions in the GS portion were tricky."

Md Alam said, "The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate. Questions in Computer section were a bit tough. Questions were mostly asked from MS Word. In Physics, maximum questions were asked from the Magnetic chapter and Resistance. RRB Technician cut off 2024 will not be high  since the paper is conducted for the first time."

Q:   What is RRB ALP exam pattern for CBT 2?

A:

RRB ALP exam pattern for CBT 2 is divided into two parts-Part A and Part B. The details regarding both the parts are given below:

Part A

Part A of CBT 2 comprises 100 objective-type questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering and General Awareness on Current Affairs. The duration of the test is 90 minutes. 

Part B

Part B of RRB ALP is qualifying in nature and comprises questions from the trade syllabus prescribed by the Director General of Employment & Training (DGET). The duration of the test is 60 minutes. Total 75 questions are asked in the exam. This part is qualifying in nature and comprises questions from the trade syllabus prescribed  by the Director General of Employment & Training (DGET). 

Q:   What is the tie-breaking method in RRB ALP exam?

A:

If two or more candidates have the same Percentile Score, their ranks will be determined by their age. The older candidate will be given a higher rank. If the candidates are the same age, their names in alphabetical order (A to Z) will be used to break the tie.

Q:   What is RRB ALP job profile?

A:

RRB ALP job profile is given below:

  • RRB ALP is responsible for running the train
  • To fix the minor repairs on locomotives
  • To observe train signals and identify track issues
  • To work on all the instructions directed by the Loco Pilots

RRB ALP CBT 1 2024 will be announced anytime soon by RRBs. The result will be announced on the region-wise official websites of RRBs. The result is made available in PDF form and comprises the roll numbers of qualified candidates. Those who qualify the CBT 1 are called for CBT 2 exam.
