Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET) 2022 exam is set to be held on July 23 and 24, 2022 by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE). REET 2022 exam will be conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates as Classes 1 to 8 teachers in Rajasthan schools. The exam will be held in shifts for Level 1 and Level 2 papers. The REET Level 1 is for Primary Teachers who want to teach Classes 1 to 5 and Level 2 is for Upper Primary Teachers who want to teach Classes 6 to 8.

REET Last Minute Preparation Tips 2022: Section-wise Strategy

The REET Levels 1 and 2 will be held in different sessions. As per the REET exam pattern 2022, both Levels comprise 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of 1 mark each. In Level 1, the questions are asked from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Environmental Science (EVS). On the other hand, Level 2 comprises questions from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics & Science or Social Studies/ Social Science section. REET Child Development and Pedagogy

  • The key to scoring well in Child Development and Pedagogy section is having a thorough understanding of the entire syllabus. Candidates must not ignore any topic included in the syllabus and should give equal priority to all sections or topics

REET Language-I and Language-II

  • Candidates need to choose two languages for the REET exam for the Language I and II sections. Candidates can choose from Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Gujarati, Urdu, Sindhi and Punjabi languages
  • Reading basic textbooks is key to scoring well in these sections. Go through all grammar rules and vocabulary as these are a few important things from where a lot of questions will be asked

Q:   Is there any negative marking in REET exam?

A:
There is no negative marking in the REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) exam. The REET exam is conducted in two levels- Level 1 for candidates interested in teaching classes 1 to 5, and Level 2 for candidates interested in teaching classes 6 to 8. Both the levels of the exam consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answers, which means that candidates are not penalised for guessing the answer or attempting a question. The REET 2024 marking scheme is as follows for Level 1 and Level 2 papers:

  • Total marks: 150 for Level 1 and Level 2 each
  • +1 for each correct answer 
  • No negative marking for wrong answers
  • Negative marking of 1/3rd marks for unanswered questions
