The native language of Greece, Cyprus, Albania and many other parts of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Black Sea, Greece is a language which is spoken mostly in Europe. However, it is one of the oldest languages and has the longest documented history of any living Indo-European language, which spans over 3,500 years of written records. Many writing systems also emerge from language and the Greek alphabet was a part of various writing systems on the basis of Latin, Cyrillic, Armenian, Coptic, Gothic, etc.
Greek language plays an integral role in the history of the Western World and Christianity and is also includes work in Greek literature with poems such as Odyssey. Also, through Greek Language, one has been able to understand the foundational texts I Science, Astronomy, Mathematics, Logic and Western Philosophy. The works of Aristotle are also mentioned. The New Testament of the Bible was written in Koine Greek, which is also known as the Alexandrian dialect. Along with the Latin texts and traditions of the Roman world, the Greek texts constitute the discipline of Classics.

Admission Procedure
Chose University/College: The first step is to search for colleges or universities which are offering courses in the Greek language. Check the fees and the eligibility criteria which is set for the course. Read the details before applying for the course,
Apply for Course: Proceed to apply for admission after getting to know the university offering the programme. Fill up the details as required and pay the application fee. The application forms are available for a limited period of time so the candidate is advised to know the details way in advance.
Mode of Admission: Students are given admission on the basis of merit. Generally on a first come first serve basis as there are not many students who opt for the course.
Results: Selected and qualified candidates make the merit list.
Counselling: The candidate will have to appear for the counselling session conducted at the university to submit their documents and pay the fees to seal admission.

Listening Skills: Students begin to understand the language, the words spoken the phrases which is used in everyday stages. Students identify questions and instructions, follow the instructions, identity and extract information and learn how to deal with predictable everyday matters.
Speaking Skills: Student interacts in a simple way according to the situations presented before them. Students interact with others like how people have a conversation in the market or purchase products or visit the doctor. Students get to relate to other people’s emotions by communicating.
Reading Skills: Students get to read short simple texts which they can understand, simple notices, emails. Understand texts as mentioned in a map, diagram, business card, and application form. Slowly as one learns, the vocabulary of the language is also taught gradually.
Writing Skills: Students learn how to write simple texts such as writing a letter, writing an essay, writing a short description of a person or a situation, writing narratives and much more.
