Metallurgical engineering is an undergraduate 4 years (divided into eight semesters) degree program. Entrance Exams for Metallurgical Engineering

Central and state-level exams can be taken to secure seats for B. Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering at the premier institutes in India. Passing 10+2 with good marks is the minimum eligibility criteria for these exams. Every examination has different cut-off marks.

  • JEE Mains: JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Mains is the national-level engineering entrance exam. The difficulty level of this exam is moderate to high. The National Testing Agency is the conducting body of this examination. It is a computer-based exam conducted twice a year.

  • JEE Advanced: IIT Roorkee, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati and IIT Kharagpur are Seven Zonal IITs that jointly organise the JEE Advanced examination. The difficulty level of this examination is moderate to high.

Syllabus for Distance Program in Metallurgical Engineering

Students who cannot afford full-time courses can get their degrees through distance education. Also, aspirants who are unable to fulfil meet the eligibility requirements for full-time courses can pursue part-time or distance B. Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering. The syllabus of distance education programs is almost same to the regular programs. The evaluation format (30% for internal assessment and 70% for the end semester examination) is the same as the regular courses.
