• At first, the candidates are required to register themselves online
• Login with the credentials used during the registration process
• Fill out the application form available with the application number & password shared on your email ID and phone number

CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria 2025 

The basic CSIR UGC NET Eligibility Criteria 2025 that candidates must fulfil are mentioned below:

CSIR NET Educational Qualification 2025

• Candidates should have obtained a degree in BTech/BE/BPharma/MBBS/BS (four years)/Integrated BS-MS/MSc with a minimum of 55 per cent marks for General (UR)/General-EWS and OBC (50 per cent for SC/ST, Third gender and PwD) 

CSIR NET Age Limit 2025

• To apply for CSIR NET JRF, candidates should be a maximum of 30 years of age. The upper age limit is relaxable for up to 5 years for SC/ST/Third gender/PwD/Females and up to 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer).
• There is no upper age limit to apply for the post of Lectureship (LS)/ Assistant Professor

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the CSIR NET NTA Dec exam date on the official website at csirnet.nta.nic.in. It will be conducted as a computer-based test. The CSIR NET exam date  is December 18, 2025. It will be conducted in two shifts. First shift will be from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift will be from 3 pm to 6 pm.

CSIR NET 2025 Exam Pattern

The NTA CSIR NET Question Paper is divided into three sections- Part A, B and C.

Part 'A' shall be common to all subjects. This part shall be a test containing a maximum of 20 questions of General Aptitude. The candidates shall be required to answer any 15 questions for two marks each. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 30 out of 200.

The CSIR NET Part A consists of General Aptitude questions that assess the candidates’ teaching/research aptitude, reasoning ability, comprehension skills, divergent thinking and general awareness.

The CSIR NET Part B and C consist of questions that are based on the subjects chosen by candidates from the following five subjects - Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences.

CSIR NET 2025 June Exam Analysis (Shift 2)

According to the students responses, Physical Science exam is Moderate in overall difficulty. Part C was a bit tough. Whole paper was lengthy.

As per the students, Mathematics exam was Moderate to Difficult.

As per the students, Chemical Science exam was Difficulty in overall diffiuclty level.

CSIR NET 2025 Shift 1 Exam Analysis

According to the students responses, the Life Science exam was Difficult in overall difficulty level. Students also felt that Part C of the Life Science exam was difficult as compared to earlier CSIR NET exam. Some also felt Part B a bit difficult.
